- Mayfly nymph, emerger, dun, and spinner life stages filmed underwater as trout see them. Clingers, crawlers, burrowers and swimmer mayflies are profiled for the fly fisherman, aquatic ecologist, student, and budding entomologist to see, for the first time, in their natural state. This chapter 2 from Ralph and Lisa Cutter's "Bugs of the Underworld"

I was thinking to myself: "Now I got the bass figured out!" :D
I found these in my Fish Fry tank... Great info. Thank you.
Very informative!

marvelous - thx!
Excellent video I ever seen. Very valuable. Could you please share the video in HD version? Thanks so much.
This was filmed in standard definition. The DVD is crisp, but my upload to TH-cam is pretty bad. I'm not sure how to make it better. Mid current posted (with my permission) a copy on Vimeo that is higher resolution. ~ Ralph
Very nice video.
Very Nice!
Very nice.
very well done
thx i im doing a report on the mayfly and this helped with some of it
awsome
Hydrodynamically marvelous! i loved the emergence - no music, just a frog, at night. I hear hellgrammites emerge during thunderstorms? maybe tough to get the full lifecycle of the dobsonfly! Oh, and don't we humes have a crisis phase similar to mayflies'? ;>)
nice video
This reminds me of something the teacher would play in school
Hi! Could I use some of this footage in a film project? It would only be for a few seconds and I would't use the audio. You would of course be mentioned in the credits. Thanks.
Sure!
cool
such a great video, you should buy another camera when you get the chance. it would only make it better
386?
You think it would be possible for a genius of mayflies were over millions of years of evolution forsake there winged adult forms to live entirely in water particularly the crawlers and swimmer nymphs.
@drpinto28 24 hours.

Really I know your language very little
To trout there know as dinner, lol
They live underwater for 2 years before becoming adults...
Ah they fall into the water, yea right, they fall everywhere especially under lights and create a slippery stinky mess.
Fly fish save go to the bathroom
so good works, so sh*t quality as final here...
yuck
Rubbish, can not even get the species correct.
