Fantastic! That does it...building a fretted CBG tomorrow. Although a slide-only might be able to make a reasonable presentation. I'm really impressed with the number of lessons you generate in a day!
I am on my way to the world of 3string guitars & loving it.the one thing all these musos wish they had feel thats it.if u have feel u have u can make any instrument sing
Lol I got a two string canjo and that was the first song I played and I got a bolt for the nut that isn’t glued in that I use for a whammy lol mines in g too lol I only have eye hooks for tuners so it’s not really by choice
Awesome! I can play it on six string but missing three strings is fun! Im also missing frets:) Thx Bro! LaGrange is just down the road a few miles from me! Them Lace pups btw are awesome! They cost more than my entire guitar but glad I did it!
It’s a Rob Wrobel cigar box guitar. You can find his work on Facebook and reverb.com Robs cigar box guitars. There are none better in my book. I’ve bought 3 so far. Never a problem they all sound and play amazing
can also use this to play EVH hot for teacher/boogie chillin/freddie king stuff and magic sam ...it,s probably to most catchy rythm in the world helps a lot if you tap your foot and hum the guitarpart at the same time so hard not to love this..:) grts from
What amp and pedal do you use? My brother in law just made me a guitar box guitar. I got small hands lol so regular guitar has always been hard so I gave away my guitar from HS but want to get back into playing.
I use many different amps and pedals for playing out and lessons. tell me what type of tone your looking for and I can help you on your way. The amp on this lesson is home made, fairly high gain all tube amp and some reverb.... but there are many inexpensive ways to mimic this tone.
Since my singing drives small minute animal away for miles and I refuse to for the benefit of mankind the tune repeating would drive my family to converge with provided weapons which I'd find interesting until used and best play it when alone so thanks for sharing.
Thats a good string choice - I build CBGs and for my electrics I use D'Addario Nickel Wound Super Lights and use the thick E string .042, the A string .032, and then I buy bulk non-wound .018. Often referred to as a Blues Blaster string set. Really enjoy your lessons.
The way I slowly evolved into 3 strings was to tune my 6 string to open G and cutting off the fat E string at the end "a la Keith" so downtune A to G, D, G, B Downtune high E to D...5 strings. It worked great for slide and blues.... Then I looked for ages for a 3 string CBG builder and ran across Rob Wroble who is a builder in Florida and fell in love with his stuff....I saved some cash and bought 1..... I now own 3. That's my story...

I don’t understand
your lace sensor matchbook pickup has some sort of surrounding ring, where did you get it
@@wolfdesikan1766 that’s a Builder thing. Rob Wrobel made it
Nice job, man! I can hear your soul with that slide. Did you build that cigar box guitar yourself? It has excellent tone. Cherry fret board?
Thanks....It's a Rob Wroble CBG
I'll have to check his work out. I have a couple of Snowden CBGs that I like, but I'm always on the look out for a good sounding CBG Thanks!

Uncle Mark's Cigar Box Guitar Lessons hi string 5 4 3 or 6 5 4 thanks i wish you well

GDg or 42 34 24

And the chords of the solo part is wrong.
Should be Bb Db and Eb
