I am so jealous of this system. I wish we had weatherband in Australia. It is a properly intelligent idea. I'm especially jealous because my Honda Goldwing has buttons to pick up weatherband and I can't use it!
You are listening to NOAA Weather Radio, the voice of the National Weather Service, station WXJ60 in Gainesville Florida, serving the north Florida peninsula 24 hours a day, on a frequency of 162.475 MHz. Broadcast originates from the National Weather Service office in Jacksonville. The current time is 10:25 AM EDT.
Why has no car manufacturer picked up on it - Sat radio requires a subscription for one to purchase (pretty sure every auto manufacturer wishes we all had and used sat radio). :-(
I think the weather band should broadcast conditions at green energy installations for smart appliances. If the sun goes behind a cloud or the wind stops blowing at the wind farms, Air-conditioning can turn off. I am doing magnetron sputtering and I use a lot of electricity.
There are only 7 NOAA weather station frequencies, and mostt radios that are designed to receive them have them built it. So it's like your TV... they have channel numbers instead of frequencies. You never need a license to listen to any broadcast in the US.
My mum‘s new Volkswagen atlas has a weather app on the infotainment screen and you can say hey Volkswagen what’s the weather like in cedar pines or if you plug-in Apple CarPlay you can say hey Siri what’s the weather like in Cedar Pines
Thank you so much. I have been searching for information on NOAA radios, and I found it on your video!

Meanwhile in the middle of June: "There was no snow on the ground."
Great video. Thank you.
Subbed and thumbs up.
Correction: These stations do station IDs that are sometimes longer than the actual weather broadcast cycle.

You’re totally right. I guess we better just keep burning coal and oil until the earth becomes uninhabitable
I wonder why Britain hasn’t done this yet, or something similar?
How do you know what wether station you are? And do you need your ham radio license to listen??
