20 year old Hot Wheels car from McDonalds. Can the batteries be replaced? Lets see

This recently caught my eye on eBay.
I have never seen a Hot Wheels car with a switch on the bottom, so my interest was peaked.
A very good looking model car, that came free with a happy meal back in the day?
Since finding this one, and knowing what to look for, there have been loads listed, some for sky high prices.
This one only cost me 99p from eBay in the UK with a few pounds postage on top. Bargain!

I was very happy to find this video. I bought a heap of used Hot Wheels many years ago and found some of these in the lot. This one is by far the coolest one. I find it interesting that the U.S. release of this does not have a removable battery cover. So I'm going to have to drill this one out.

Thanks for the video. It's really a shame that they are not replacable. I don't know, if I should just let them in or simply remove battaries and glue it back.

It's a retro tech channel, uses old cameras probably. might make it the only true retro tech channel. 🤔
