Thanks for sharing the detail of cost . I Passed CCIE EI too at 2024 Aug . The Price as much as the video says , So ...This price is certified by 2 CCIEs XD
Wow, the cost is higher than I expected. Thanks for taking the time to share your experience. I look forward to the next videos with more details and tips to address this exam.
Thanks a lot for this helpful video Jeremiah , did you do the online or onsite version of the Narbik course? I cant wait your detailed video about the material you used to pass.
I did the online 15-week course. Unfortunately our 15-week course kept running into problems and it ended up being closer to 6 months. The 15-week course is the only way to do it (in my opinion). There is SO MUCH material, there is no way you can retain all of that in one-week. And, to be honest, it was Narbik himself to talked me into doing the 15-week course.
For the lab, I Picked up a Dell R630 with Dual Xeon E5-2683 v4 16c/32t & 512 GB of RAM (Not bad for $600). Do you think 32 physical cores / 64 threads would be enough? I have been playing with Xen Orchestra & Proxmox & migrating my GNS3 instance to it once I settle on which Hypervisor I want to use. I'm focusing on CCNP Enterprise but looking at the ENAUTO & ENCC for Concentrations after ENCOR.
Should be plenty. I know very little about virtualization, but I'll say that running EVE-NG bare-metal is SIGNIFICANTLY faster then running it in esxi. If that translates to GNS3 and Proxmox I don't know. Just thought I'd mention it.
I picked up 2x 2695v4 36core (72 core for 2 server) , hp dl360 g9, 128gb ram (256gb) (4tb ssd) for 2 server) +isr 4331+ 3750g for £800 in uk that's decent deal i guess
I definitely appreciate this video. I plan on going for the CCIE and/or CCDE. My question has always been what do I use as far as training and material - do i just study the exam topics? what do i need for labs? what about training? ine? cbt nuggets? is there a training vendor out there that specifically teaches the CCIE exam topics? Anyway - just a quick thought on what I've been wondering for a few years now.
I apologize if this isn't directly relevant but I'm trying to find the appropriate cert just for Unified Communications ( call manager ) . Is the CCNP? Someone told me there is a separate path just for UC but I can't find clear answers.
Hello. I'm going to say something very rude, but it's the truth... I know NOTHING about Cisco's Unified Communications related certifications. Nothing. It took me about 20 seconds to find the answer to your question. That makes me question if you have the mindset necessary to achieve a certification. cisco.com -> Learn -> Certifications and Exams -> View All Certifications -> CCNP Collaboration -> Look at the exams listed under Step 2. I did not just paste the URL because you should become familiar with Cisco's website, especially their learning section. I will save you a little reading though and tell you that you can complete any of the exams listed under Step 2 to earn a "Specialist" certification. You only need to do the core exam if you want to pursue the CCNP certification.
The headband on my headset recently broke, so I started researching buying a new one. I was willing to spend up to $150. After looking and listening to recordings... I decided to just buy the same $20 cheap ones I've been using for years. I'm on my third pair, but they're only ~$20 - $25 and they last 3-5 years. The headset is just rebranded, so there's no brand. I've owned 3 and they've all had a different brand silkscreened on the side. Also, be sure to get some pop filters. time to hit that job market now, get that 200k a year and return it all back ) btw I'm going to make my DNAC lab avail to public soon, let me update once its all ready
I'm sorry to say, I hated it. I thought it was okay... until I started using other providers. IN MY OPINION Kbits is at least 2x better than Orhan and Narbik is at least 4x better than Kbits.
Almost 20k for an exam that costs 1.6k. The ROI here is insane. And I get it. There is "prestige" and opportunities that eventually will come but, Jesus, these numbers are crazy. Without sponsorship from your company I guess it's hard to afford this journey.
sorry but you wast your money . there is INE with lab provided for 299$ and courses for now there byod CCIE near your location. sorry but you wast money.
Oh no! If only you were there I would have saved so much money. 1. As I've addressed in other videos, INE just doesn't cut it anymore. They are not what they used to be. I tried using INE but I didn't like them. 2. There were NO BYOD mobile CCIE labs available when I needed to take the exam.
INE ATC Class with Brian, there is no one better than him! I mean R&S and Service provider. Narbik is also good, but very expensive and no videos recording.
Thanks for sharing the detail of cost .

Thanks for going in to detail on level of effort, resources, cost.
You bet!
As I recall an OReilly subscription allows a search across their entire library. That would be a huge advantage
This is really good to know info to have a ballpark what the various costs add up to.
Wow, the cost is higher than I expected. Thanks for taking the time to share your experience. I look forward to the next videos with more details and tips to address this exam.
Thanks for this video, I'm considering this route but I'm amazed how much it actually costs. Thanks
Thank you for the breakdown Jeremiah. Wow the price is outrageous.
Thanks for taking the time to document your journey.
thanks ! good overview of the options, a few of them I've used them, some other I didn't even knew about it
Congrats my dude. Looking forward to more videos. Def need to have your focus
Jeremiah thank you so much for this video and the upcoming ones!!! Can't wait!
❤ Thanks Jeremiah! Looking forward to the detailed review! I really appreciate you taking the time.
Thanks for sharing your resources to pass the CCIE exam. 😊
I agree with you about Narbik. I did the bootcamp . Part I (Narbik) amazing but the second part... I ended watching KBITs.. xD
Excellent stuff thank you
Great information
you really finalized my choice on the training choice : Nabrik
already spent 4000 euros and still going . damn it!!

Stay tuned. I'll be covering how to study very soon.
Go through INE Advanced Technology Class with Brian. In my opinion they have the best materials for study.
That is an incredibly large sum to pay for training. Most of us will never be able to afford that. How much do jobs pay, that require that cert ?
It varies. Search job posting in your area for"CCIE" and "Senior Network Engineer".

They want to keep others from competing for the few jobs. OAN, which headset do you use?

I think you used Orahn Ergun's content at some point. How's his content?
I'm sorry to say, I hated it.
I thought it was okay... until I started using other providers. IN MY OPINION Kbits is at least 2x better than Orhan and Narbik is at least 4x better than Kbits.
Ok, Ill watch 7 Minutes worth. thanks

Yes sir. And then you have to ask, are there less companies sponsoring today compared to a decade ago?
This is far away from the reality. 17k out of pocket for a badge... is a bit too much. Take it from someone who passed all of them on 1 go.
You don’t need that much. Just good books learn the fundamentals and practice!

HEY Jeremiah,
I really enjoyed watching the journey&updates
