Greetings from Slovakia! Bone broth has a cult here truly, we do love a good soup in general and sweet paprika really is a must in the kitchen 😅 J’adore tes videos, merci bien! 😊
I live in California, and for a single person, I probably spend more on higher quality food. I also have food sensitivities, and it does matter to my digestive system. My mom taught me the 3 day rule for leftovers. If you have more food, than you would consume in 3 days, freeze it. As an adult I tried eating chicken on the 4th day. You won’t get sick, but the flavor isn’t its best.
Sorry I’m just half way through the video, but I have to say, as a cooking and baking geek, this video is amazingly interesting! I’m also enjoying hearing your personal tips and thoughts on food and cooking (like smelling every material, which I also do haha) Can’t wait watching the rest later when I get some free time🥰 (Every time I watch someone living in an apartment in France, I’m always surprised that most of them have decently sized kitchens, which you never see in Tokyo! Sooo jealous of that!)
You mentioned that you were lucky to have access to good quality ingredients, such as veggies and pasture-raised meat, but do you think that’s the case for most parts of France? (Or that’s mostly because you’re living in Lyon?) I’m going to France next year for my studies and will be spending some years there. I also really value cooking my own meals with quality ingredients, so I want to know if I can expect that situation for almost everywhere in the country! By the way, I’m also planning to bring my sourdough starter (which has been with me for around 4 years now!) to France…. Any chance you have a good idea to move there with her (my starter) ?? 😂
Loved watching your cooking video. I live in Spain and my husband and I both work from home. We prepare and eat meals at home 99% of the time. We spent 300 euro per week easily on our grocery shoppings as we also like to buy and eat quality food. If we go to a good restaurant to eat out, it could be easily 100euro for a meal anyway. So for us 300 euro is absolutely worth spending on quality food that will be prepared and enjoyed at home. We live near the border of France, so we go to the farmer market or supermarket in France also once in a while. Love buying local farmers’ organic products there.
I also value food quality over other expenses such as eating out or drinking so I understand ! I love going to different farmers market whenever I travel, I have to say that in Europe we have amazing once.
@@thefrenchsolutiontotally agree. Most countries in Europe have very good quality food at affordable prices. Although Was much more better before the inflation a couple years ago. Not sure if you remember, I’m the one who asked for your chicken broth video last time and so happy to see it in this video. I have a new request 😅, would you please share how you make your sourdough starter and your sourdough recipe? I have tried with other people’s recipe online, but I’m not 100% satisfied. Your sourdough looks amazing every time. 😊

I came to this video from your most recent, looking for the recipes for your pork stew and chicken soup.

I also love chatgpt. I ask him everything, lol. It’s the best invention of my lifetime, and I’m nearly 50.
We spend a majority of our money on good, clean food, too. It’s the best thing you can do with your money.

Do you have a blog where you upload recipes?
they will be available in on the following videos that I will upload (a week of dinners) :) But no, I do not have a blog.
I wish people would consider the condition of the planet before putting extra people on it.
I only use humane meats. If I ever can’t afford to I’ll just become a vegetarian. No animal should suffer for the convenience of another.
