They need to release the specs on that cable between the connection on the headset and the battery because that needs to be a USB-C cable that can connect to any battery and capacity.
I have been wondering that stuff as well. As far as I can tell it is a specific plug on the headset side of things and the cord is fermented attached to the battery on the other side. There is a USB-C port on the battery pack for charging. I wonder if they will release a cord that goes to that specific port on the headset that goes to USB-C on the other end. I am. Or sure about any of this but that is how it seems to me. Hope we get more details soon.
I can’t wait to pair this with my newly purchased M3 MacBook Pro, 128 gigs of ram. It will smoke stock market trading with ten foot tall candle sticks. I don’t see the purpose of it for gaming, that would be a waste.. I paid a little over $4k- That’s close to the price of two 27” Apple monitors. With this, I will have endless monitors. Worth it! Gaming - stick to Meta. Leave the big tools to the boys that make money instead of gaming 😂😂😂

Screen mirroring isn't enough. It needs to have multiple and/or dynamic sized views. I don't want a big version of my MacBook display. I want the ultimate huge ultra-wide screen for maximizing productivity.
Well said! I keep thinking about this as well. I was hoping for at least multiple desktops or instances of the Mac screen. But dynamically shaped or one large “pano-style desktop would be amazing. I also wondering you’ll be able to mirror your iPhone or iPad screen into the Vision Pro? What would that be like? Loads of possibilities!
vison pro is just another vr/mixed reality headset like quest3 with a huge price tag and less than 2x better. its still a good thing vision pro will bring others into the vr and mixed reality market though.

And I see Meta staying number 1 in terms of sales and then Sony as they have the IPs that are huge that people want to experience in VR like God Of War, The Last Of Us etc and then Nintendo which could become number 1 as they are going to have their own AR/VR Headset they are working on with Google and Nintendo could even just become number 1 as they have Mario, Zelda and Metroid and then Apple with the Vision Pro so apple will not control the AR/VR market it will be Nintendo when they enter and then maybe Meta or Sony
Good points, from a gaming perspective. I see this as more of a productivity portal, over a gaming portal. Apple has never been one to focus on gaming - and why should they? They have such a huge market based around daily life routines, and business professionals. I think this system will become a new normal - which is semi frightening.. I personally am extremely excited for the purpose of monitors all around me while I work. Paired with the new M3 MacBook and 128 gigs of ram - this puppy with be a video editing dream. Their is no such thing as spatial computing us a made up word by apple's its simply just a AR headset like the Quest 3 just with better specs and a astronomical price tag that's not really worth it the Quest 3 will still be the mass market AR/VR Headset in terms of sales and then 2nd will be Sony as they have the software people want and then apple matter the specs as Menta controls the most used apps on any device including apple own devices Instagram WhatsApp and Facebook and they are in the process of integrating them with the Augments feature in the future
The quest 3 is a great headset and I have used and own many different headsets. I don’t think the Vision Pro is meant to be a mass market headset. I think it is a proof of a future concept. I really wish that Meta would have finished all the development that they promised for the quest pro. Sorta seems like they promised us a lot and then forgot about the quest pro. I love my Quest 3, gaming on it is a lot of fun! I hope that all the companies keep competing and us as consumers keep getting better and better tech.

Not if Apple makes a none pro version and this is the gateway for programmers to develop for all apple’s future none pro products or have you not seen xreal air2 ultra AR classes giving you a taste of what Apple just sparked in the industry. Apple just planted the seed and the price of the Vision Pro is the marketing if they can fuel competition then the components needed to build thes price will drop and when the developers pick up the echo system then the market will thrive. Quest is a half assed echo system at an indi game quality with over promises under delivering the product. Apple just promised nothing and is on every single tech tubers channel getting free advertising and since they had very little promises if the hardware is over built like we all think then this is a foundation device to build the future off of.
That is one way it could go. There is a lot of excitement and risk in all of this. I think it’ll end up being like how the iPhone and Apple Watch were on their first-gen versions. It will take 2 or 3 versions to start to see what this product could be. But it also could flop like many other headsets have. Exciting times.

Hot swapping is confirmed. You won't need to shut down the device to swap the battery as the device will have enough residual power for a hot swap.
