A ferocious rebounder and I mean Ferocious! Cowens and Silas were a great duo. Kareem said Cowens was a tough player for him due to his quickness and outside shot ability.
Cowens was a great player. It's always an interesting thing to watch his plays. And thanks for watching the video and hope you have enjoyed it. Cheers and more power to you :))
@@vdLeo-je6os I will go so far as to say that Cowens and Elvin Hayes were the two best rebounders of the 70s. I know Kareem may have gotten a few more and Wes Unseld was close too. But with his huge size Advantage, Kareem could have done a little bit better and Wes simply could not score like the other guys.
If he had played one more year(instead of waiting to do so later)he would have won another ring w/ Bird. And had a much satisfying retirement. He'd have been a better backup than Rick Robey, fo sho
The accent plays a major role in how a word is pronounced and I guess, the issue was because of the accent only and I'm sorry for it. Great video! Dave was the king of all out hustle!!
My all time favorite Celtic Dave Cowens is the G.O.A.T he is in my dream team Celtic Squad at PF/C no one did more for the Celtics like him
He is an absolute legend!
Dave Cowen master rebounder; defender; great jump shot: role player nba basketball player etc etc
He was only 6 9 but he was so strong and very very talented he used to outplay all the much taller centers in the NBA...i saw his whole career
Big Red. If I were starting a team I’d have Cowen’s and Moses Malone as my centers. Yes there are better (maybe?) but they never quit. Ever!!!
Cowens was a great player. It's always an interesting thing to watch his plays.
And thanks for watching the video and hope you have enjoyed it.
Cheers and more power to you :))
I understand that. These 2 NEVER cheated you on effort.
The man was a beast! Hsi steal from Oscar Robertson in game 6 of the 1974 Finals is legendary!!!
Great player born to be a Celtic
Love Dave Cowens and The Celtics!!!!
Absolutely!!! He was one of the legend in basketball history.
Olajuwon was the greatest big man to ever play. Cowens is, by far, the most underrated and certainly most forgotten great big man.
And the thing is that Cowens was a dominant rebounder despite the fact that he was only 6.9

He was fantastic, but at 6’9”, would have be a bit less dominant at center without long armed wingman, Paul Silas, RIP.
This is a underrated video
Can you name the music in the background?
Cowens played forcthe bucks during the 82-83 season and went up against his former team the celticscin the playoffs besting them.
I swear at the beginning he said Boston Keltics

No, he was not. In fact, Cowens outplayed KAJ in '74 FInals.
