The first time i heard Greg Liszt banjo, in WA state, at the Medicine Lake medicine festival, it sounded so rhythmic that i thought it was a claw-hammer style... just a more articulate claw hammer than i was able to perform myself.
That’s a great story… keep telling it. Years ago I was waiting tables next to a venue for a Glenn Fry concert. Whole bunch of comes up has beens trying to revive their younger days, awful behavior all round. Every trip to the bar or kitchen I muttered “I hate the fucking eagles, man”. That line might’ve possibly saved some lives that night…..
