Dave. Your enthusiasm and excitment is contageous. It's great to see a man of your means giddy about his purchase. And I really like you quote about dreams, thoughts, actions, realities. You parents must be proud. All the best to you.
I'm just out of flight school, and I have the great pleasure of flying one of these awesome planes. The performance may look modest, but when you put it next to the fuel burn and relative easy flying characteristics, it is absolutely fantastic. I'm not saying it is a plane to be put in anyone's hands, the step is considerably high between a light twin (piston) and that sort of machine, but it's certainly waayyy easier than a Learjet.
Single pilot certification was aimed at the owner-pilot market. All of the lighter Gulfstreams are aimed at the corporate market where officers & directors insurance more often than not requires multi-crew flown aircraft.
The pilot will need to be on oxygen once they are at 12,500 for more than 30 min, but this aircraft is pressurized so chances they probably had it on. Also this plane has a 1,150 NM range. Up to you if you want to attempt the flight to another continent.
i hear that learjets can be tricky to fly compared to pretty much anything else. does the newest generation of cessna citations take care of this? i'm just getting interested in this stuff and kind of clueless.
I would more than LOVE to have this airplane. I want to testfly that thing... gosh. But I think it uses too much FUEL. I think a TBM 850 would be more efficient.

Very cool... this was too late for the movie, One Six Right, but it fits right in!

It's actually only $3.3 million, very affordable for a brand new private jet of this size.
Man. I wish I had one of those. Awesome airplane... *goes and buys lotto ticket*
Great video and great skis.

@shaneo0306 Yes, it does blend. Just look at images of Cessna crashes. They blend pretty good.
Yes, I would say the majority of Mustangs are Owner/Operators
1 Cessna Mustang was $3 Million as of 2008 ...... that's a lot :O
sweet, does it blend?

For love money
what kind of license is requested to fly such a plane? Nice Video!
I would like to buy one Cessna Citation Mustang, but I don't know its price...
Just curious, at that altitude, isn't one pilot required to be on oxygen?

It's about time they swept the wings,.-.............Rip Van Winkle .
68.5 and 90 is a HUGH difference... come on man...
340 kts. Wow, that's almost as fast as a TBM Turboprop.
do students get that jet any cheaper??
dear santa..
$2.5 to $3 million.
he says Cezzna.... does that bother anyone or is it just me? lol
Cezzna
can it fly to Africa?
go hire a professional pilot....owner/pilots need to be just owners.
