LAST ONE .. 9 + 0 = 8
1st move ... turn the 8 into a 0 .. and the 0 into an 8
2nd move .. turn the + into a - .. and the 9 into an 8
8 - 8 = 0

"1+1=1" is valid in Boolean logic.
