On the last one, move the bottom stick to have it read 9 instead of 5. 1 + 8 = 5 (1 + 8 = 9), since the 9 does not need a rocker like the 5 does. Think of the letter p reverse it you have 9

For No. 2, you could do it by moving just two sticks. Just move the bottom two sticks to the top and the right hand side to form three squares in an L shape (with a couple of extra sticks sticking out on the left hand side). For No. 6, you probably intended for us to make it say -1 + 6 = 5, but you could also do it by moving the bottom stick of the 5 up to the top right of it to make it into a 9, so that it reads 1 + 8 = 9
@themachine5957, nope. These puzzles were created for school children. I had a puzzle book with this one in it when I was a kid. The right answer is 1+8=9.
2:55 I’m fairly sure no amount of moving matchsticks could “get inside the coin.” You’d need sticks of something highly caustic or perhaps radioactive…
That's what I've said. You only need one vertical line hanging from the bottom right corner of a square to make a 9, it doesn't have to have a bottom horizontal line too.

I'm 67 years old and I grew up working these "stick" puzzles and many more like them. I solved this one as a pre-teen. This is a puzzle, not a digital clock. You're supposed to move the bottom stick on the 5 to make it a 9. 1+8=9 is the right answer. Don't over think it. It might help you to remember that these puzzles were created for school kids.
Take a side from 8 to make it a 6. Then use it as a minus and you get -1+6=5.
Oh, yes, that works. You could also take the bottom off the 5 and use it to make a 9, so 1+8=9.
@@jamienelson3470 Mostly the number 9 in matchstick puzzle should have a horizontal bar.
remove the center stick of 8 to make it a 0, then put it 'diagonally' on the middle of the equal sign: therefore 1+0 ≠ 5

but in these pattern of number formation number 9 always have that racker 🤷♂️

#6: Move the bottom of the 5 to the open side on the right to close it off, making it 9.
Move the lat part 'under'5 to right side above..makes it nine
Take the vertical stick on the plus and place it over the equal sign: 1-8≠5
too eaasy
You only need to move the one closest to the penny: open the corral, put the penny in, close the corral
move the vertical stick from the plus sign and put it 45 degrees over the = sign. ( 1 - 8 is not equal to 5)
