こんにちわ! I've been a huge Loudness fan for over 20 years. When Spiritual Canoe was released, I felt that Loudness tried to find a balance between a modern sound and an '80s sound. I enjoyed the album, but my impression is that it's been rushed too much, because the audio production and mix is not clean enough: in some songs I cannot even hear the various instruments clearly... From Pandemonium they took an heavier direction, as already happened in 1992 with the self-titled album. The album is still good (I love the peculiar sound of Suicide Doll), but unfortunately the audio and mix production is not satisfactory. I thought: "Why do they need to publish 2 studio albums in one year? Are they in a hurry?" With Biosphere they continued with a mix of old style tunes (I agree about the Led Zeppelin inspiration) and a more modern style. I think some parts was unnecessarily too loud (the "For You" refrain). I was disappointed when I listend to Terror for the first time. Even though they said it's an album "in Black Sabbath style", it sounded like nu-metal to me, which I didn't like at that time. I didn't like the vocals and the instrumental parts either. After many years I re-evaluated this album and now I'm OK with it, but I cannot say it's my Loudness favourite :-) Rockshocks didn't impress me so much, I felt like they didn't need to release a full self-cover album... On The Prowl was enough for me :-) Racing is another "very loud" album. It has more melodic parts compared with Terror - which is a good thing - but some tune was unnecessarily too loud (Misleading Man). My favourite track is Telomerase. The Japanese version with Japanese vocals sounds nicer to me.

2001年のオリジナルメンバー復帰以降の中で、spiritual canoeは好きなアルバムです。
1曲目の歌詞の中に「はるか高い展望台から見ると まるでちっぽけな世界の中で人が 呆れるほどの価値の無い争いと 子供じみた虚栄心が人を狂わす」とあり、アルバム発売された2001年当時は同時多発テロや、現在ではロシアのウクライナ侵攻なんて、まさにこの歌詞が訴えているようなものだと感じます。
Pandemoniumは、それから比べるとかなりガラッと方向性が変わった？的な感じでしたね。スピード感溢れるwhat's the truthやya step on a mindは車で聴くとアクセル全開にしたくなります。
Biosphereとterrorは個人的には重いサウンドが微妙に好きになれないんです。セルフカバーのROCK SHOCKSのLOUDNESSは確かに「あれれ？何でこうなっちゃうの？」的な感じでしたね。
全曲ダウンチューニングなので、オリジナルと比べると、低く重たいサウンドになってますよね。
RACINGも好きなアルバムで、私は日本語詞版を持ってますが、その中にあるR.I.Pの歌詞の内容も凄く好きです。
枯れ果てた恐怖心、盲目に歩んで15の春はもう来ない、自爆テロで死ぬ少年を哀れみ、暖かな日々に包まれ安らかな日々を祈ろうと。
深い詞の内容が突き刺さります。
バンドとしてのLOUDNESSは、やはり時代の潮流に合わせて進化しているんだと思います。

なんだかんだ最新アルバムは80sファンからそうじゃない人まで違和感なく聴ける出来になってると思う。
仮想現実はテラー(cyber soul系)とか5期の感じあるし、disk2の冒頭三曲は80sだし

はい！ROCKSHOCKSは過去３本の指に入る衝撃作でし💦
選曲があまりにも素晴らしいだけに、という…まぁ、そのままじゃ面白くないし、アーティスト的には当然の選択なのかもしれませんがf(^^;
1期〜2期はもちろん、3期も素晴らしく、4期も別の個性的なロックバンドとして好きでした。再結成以降のアルバムは"わざわざこのメンバーでやらなきゃいけない音楽なのかな？"的に思ってました。以前のアルバムは好きじゃない曲を探そうにも見つからない感じでしたけど、再結成以降はアルバムの中から好きになる曲はどれかな？みたいな感じというか。悪く言うと数曲を除いて他は印象に残らないというか。なので曲名を言われてもどのアルバムに入っていたどんな曲なのかパッと言えないし、再結成以降のアルバムからLIVEの常連曲になってる曲がいくつあるかですよね。まぁそれでも世界一愛したバンドはラウドネスなんですけどね。

メンバーが違っているので幸いにして別のバンドとして見れているんですよね(^_-)-☆
再集結後のアルバムは、今聴き返すとまた違う印象を持つことが出来ましたが…ご指摘の部分は理解出来ます(>_
再結成以降の楽曲と日本語はマッチしない。
1st～4stの日本語がハマリすぎてた！
「ふっさぎこむのはーやめにしようぜぃー」「輝き失せてる街に うすらわらいの狂言者」
「生っきのこーるには いっまー ヤツーから逃げ出せー」
とか、こんな歌詞よくかけたなっ！天才かっ！て思う。
再結成以降、とにかくニイハラさんの歌がバックの音の中で窮屈そうにしているので数曲聴いたらもう十分となります。それは最新作まで変わらずで、ボーカルがバックに乗る時代に戻って欲しいと思っています。
