@Panty Sniffer capirossi also did better than rossi on ducati, does that mean capirossi is better than Rossi too?? Rossi may be unsuccessful at ducati, but he only stayed there for 2 seasons and in 2012 he had 2 podiums who knows if he had gone there in 2005 he would have had lot of success there

This Ducati had lot of problem that's why 9 time world Champion valentino rossi and 2006 motogp world Champion nicky Hayden struggled with this bike
but stoner was able to still win this bike

It’s not about the bike back at this moment.
It’s about Rossi wasn’t able to change the bike/team over 2 years the way he needed to win! He gave up because he knew there is nothing going forward. Till today he wasn’t able to win another title. Everybody understood over these two years he is human. I was disappointed, VR46 on the big italian brand? Best story but also his biggest fail!

I agree, I think Pedrosa is going to tear it up this year. However for some reason I'll be rooting for Spies, dude's got talent and it'll be interesting to see how he does in Rossi's spot.

@mako7828 Depends if he can match up his riding skills with the bike; remember that he had helped Yamaha develop the YZR M1, so maybe he can do the same with Ducati. I've always held the view that a good racer is the one who pushes his machine to the limit and adapts to it. Kevin Schwantz is a good example of that.
Raga io ho sempre tifato per Max Biaggi ma da quando Vale ha vinto con la yamaha e diventato per me un idolo!! Questo ragazzo cui fa un altro mestiere, è un mostro e ora finalmente vederla sulla nostra moto italiana sarà qualcosa veramente da far venire i brividi!! Thanks for the video. Great looking bike but i hope Ducati sort it out cause that GP11 doesnt look or sound like a Honda or Yamaha beater. Looks like a handful, especially into and coming out of slow corners.
Rossi said hes taking the wings off as they are impairing his turning and not helping his shoulder injury much. They look wicked ... ill have em if your not using them and stick em on my bike ;)

Rossi plus Ducati equals HEAVEN.
Being perfectly objective I think you have a good point. I actually saw both of them live at Indianapolis GP a couple of times. Once Rossi won when the race was red-flagged in the rain, and the last race Stoner was so unbelievably fast it wasn't even fun to watch. I suppose my liking of Rossi is a more based on the influence he had on my motoGP viewing growing up. But you're right, that alone wouldn't make him the best rider.

Rossi is gonna be a force to be reckoned with, I hope he gets the tittle, but doubt he'll do so. Now with Ben Spies filling in his spot, he will be the one to watch. He dominated in AMA, won the WSBK tittle his 1st year, and was consistent his rookie year in moto gp. Pedrosa will put up a challenge as well, also with Stoner moving to Honda, he might be a contender. Lorenzo is champ, I'm sure he'll do good this season, but he won't leave with a tittle in hand. Can't wait for the racing!

@delerak I dont remember where, but they compared a Superbike to a BMW M3 on a road course, the bike eventually caught up,but cornering speed was greater and better handling in the car. Straight line speed and acceleration out of the corners made the whole difference,
@billyposter yes I'm sure I believe in Vale I know he can do it next year specially now that things are starting to heat up let's be positive towards Rossi lets pray for him..
The best Italian rider ever, on the best Italian motorcycle ever. How on earth can this go wrong? Of course it will be hard to beat Lorenzo, Pedrosa en possibly Stoner. But how nice to finally see Rossi on a Ducati, and what a beautiful machine it is!! Go doctor!!!
