      I'm not imagining but Casey had better bike setup, or at least something matching his style. Rossi I would say came to Ducati at its worst time. Nicky Hayden was nowhere close to Rossi in 11&12 in same bike. This just shows how good Rossi was.

    Think what you will, but he's won 9 World Titles against the best the world had to offer, in the best motorcycle class in the world, often times on a bike NOT considered the best on the grid.
    Professional riders, journalists, and announcers that dedicate their lives to the sport have called him the G.O.A.T, and I trust their opinions more than your average fan.

      Rossi is the greatest talent that has ever been in this sport, he could continue to win with the honda but he wanted to change, (when the yamaha was not strong) , and after win yamaha changed with ducati XD ecc. because he always likes to put himself to the test, he is a complete sportsman and wants to try all the bikes ... but only a real talent can do this ...

    And now ten years later, thanks to aero and the talent of Francesco and Álvaro, Ducati is on top in MotoGP and World SBK.
    Valentino was in his absolute prime, back in the early 2000s, when he switched from the faster Honda to the slower Yamaha. And by the time he switched from Yamaha to Ducati, he was still just as good but the bike was shite. This guy liked to challenge himself, but the odds weren't in his favor the second time around. Wish so bad he'd win that 2015 title.

    Not going to lie, I watched very little MotoGP when Rossi rode Ducati. VR on a Yamaha is pure art. You can see the way he rides on the M1 is so natural and almost fluid like. Marquez and Lorenzo are both very good riders as well but ride more forced, too calculated and almost robot like. Next time you watch MotoGP just watch how VR executes going in and coming out of turns. It's as if he's built into 1 with his bike.

    • @stanleyalfred5076
      @stanleyalfred5076 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      all mota 😂😂😂😂 wtf lorenzo and marquez ride like a robot 😂😂 u idiot watch closely lorenzo rides very smoothly , he brakes gently rather than rossi ,lorenzo is way natural than rossi , know the facts and speak u idiot

    • @all_mota
      @all_mota 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I still stand by my words. Lorenzo this year farther proves my point! His inability to manage tire consumption is worse this year than with previous Yamaha and also the fact that he still needs front splitters the size of dinner plates just shows how much lack of throttle control he has. Look at Dovi, He was a top contender for Champion this year without the massive splitters. As for Marquez he toned down his riding so much this year because he realized riding smoother and consistent pays off more. Rather than than insult learn your facts first and go fuck yourself you idiot. Have a great day =)

    • @all_mota
      @all_mota 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Stanley Alfred P.S. I wouldn't expect you to know "facts" with your gay 250 Honda scooter. Get a real bike then try to insult me.

    • @noeleenbatchelor3736
      @noeleenbatchelor3736 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      all mota Marquez is rough he man handles his bike like no one else can but Lorenzo is as smooth as they come, when Lorenzo was on a Yamaha the commentators would say it's like Lorenzo is on train tracks his that smooth.
      The winglets you call splitters don't do much for acceleration and throttle control, they make the bike more stable at higher speeds but slower at switching directions because of the heavier feeling they create while helping prevent the front lifting, dovi didn't use them every race but he did use them a fair bit this season as he was doing what's best for the championship and Lorenzo used them all season because he didn't have championship hopes to begin with so he was the "test dummy" for dovi.

    Ian claimed Rossi and Burgess wanted to make an inline 4 Ducati engine, and they had no intention of doing so, all they wanted is to change the firing order and maybe the angle of the cylinder to a °75 od °60 degree angle.

    actually I'm pretty sure the whole idea of the L is to move the weight forward, tipping the engine back to make it a V would only move the weight to the rear, the L-twin/4s are just 90º V-twin/4s that have been designed to have the engine mounted with the front cylinder/cylinders pointing forward and the rear/rears pointing upward, think about it, tip it back to a V and the weight goes back.

    Only real difference between an L and a V engine is the way it's mounted in the bike, for example my SV650 has a 90º V-Twin, the ducati monster 696 has a 90º L-Twin that is purely due to how they have designed it to be mounted with one cylinder pointing straight forward parallel to the ground and the other pointing directly upward, where as in the V-Twin the cylinders point up and forward for the front and up and backward for the rear at around 45º.

    according to me, interms of bike performance and hamdling, here i m listing as follows
    honda: brilliant chassis balance, grippy handling,fast acceleration
    yamaha: slow on straight , corner speed specialist,almost same chassis balance but brakes arent responsive as honda
    ducati: powerful, needs a master to handle in the corners, brakes are fine, hard to adjust with this( from various riders opinion)
    casey stoner was a real rider infact brave rider he only knew how to master the italian beast. true champion.
    dani pedrosa could be the champion if he didnt crack under pressure ,honda rc bikes are championship winning bikes.
    yamaha wasnt even in the championship contender until rossi came.
    marq marquez had got some simlarities with casey stoner interms of leaning angle.

      Pedrosa was doing really well with the rc21xv before marc. Its only cus he had a few unlucky crashes he lost the championship a few times. After marc came along the bike completely changed in favor of marc's riding style. 2014 was probably his last chance at winning the title but his crash in a few races especially aragon decided it all. He is one of the legends of motogp even with all the crashes and physical difficulties.

    3:36 Rossi: "You are my dog. I am your owner"
    I wish we saw this aggressive riding style more often these days. Most of Rossi's passes nowadays are executed through his braking ability. Albeit, Rossi is still the GOAT.

    @1198RacerX but he still managed to beat dani Casey and Jorge in 09,10' in fact he finished ahead of stoner in 06,08,09,10 . Only o7, 11,12 did stoner beat him. So I guess they are all garbage too right?
