Just got one. Beautiful square. Also have a limited edition "illest" navy blue glx on the way. Squares have always been my favorite too.
The grey and white contrast is really nice!! My personal opinion the plain white would look too basic and dull. This watch looks really fresh and has a nice pattern design. When you have a deep tan this watch really stands out and very stylish.
Just picked this white one up at Macys online with 25% discount net $120.00 and ordered Jayandkays silver bullbar. Love it!

Hi Rob, after 1year did this watch had any stained or dust on the straps considering the white color ?
I can't collect, nor would I want to, most G-Shocks but what a great model this is. With every G-Shock there are what I would call "opportunities" to latch onto little things here-or-there we can internalize to create a bond, like the tidbit that Ibe-san likes a white G-Shock. I have this model and it's a fresh change from black; not a big deal in and of itself since it's easy to swap bezels and straps to create whatever you want, of course.
But it's got a great module: Solar and MB6 was never enough for me to want a 5610, but add tide and moon and also you realize other aspects like the three-letter day abbreviation (instead of the usual two letters).
The reverse LCD in the brown version is also available as a G-Lide (glossy) white one, with black side buttons, GWX5600C-7.
Classy & Simple, seems easy to set that would be my only gripe. Speaking of the 1 I got

An explanation video of the tide graph/moon function would be nice. (Actually expected that already in this video ;) )

I bought this as I like the module but the buttons are placed differently from normal g shock squares so i cant interchange it into a black bezel as I dont want to always wear bright white. Any ideas what bezels are compatible with this?

I bought the GW-M5610-1ER earlier this week for £99.99 via a brick and mortar retailer, but as a test run to try this version of the G-Shock Classic (can return within 30 days for a full refund).
I actually went and bought the GWX-5600WA-7ER (one in your video) online the same day I bought the M5610, arriving this week!
I got it first hand via a great Casio authorised online shop that adds a third year warranty via the shop on top of the two year G-Shock warranty.
The price I paid is £141.00, which is a lot for a G-Shock Classic (and standard G-Lide Classic), but the Summer 2017 5600WA colourways this year are not common and collectible, so a fair price in my opinion.
What is certainly NOT fair is you having BOTH variants ha ha :P
Will return my M5610 after making comparison pics, but, the 5600WA-7ER is one of the rare watches with positive/normal LCD screen, has the Tide Graph and Moon Phase functions, as well as having the amazeballs white/grey colourway!

Now, I'd love to collect more G-Shocks but I have a lot of expensive hobbies, especially gaming and audio (specifically headphones).
More so, I dropped £1.2K for a Stowa Flieger Klassik 40 Automatic Baumuster B (B-dial) Vintage 90th Anniversary Limited Edition watch with date window (this particular one is limited to 90 pieces):

For me, watches are an investment for long term use, and I think that Stowa Flieger, alongside the white G-Lide GWX-5600WA-7ER, are great watches that complement each other. Both are extremely well made, fit my wrists, and are extreme tech, at prices I can afford.
Perhaps in the future I can collect more G-Shock's, but the black GW-M5610-1ER is a common watch so I can always purchase again in the future (I'll return my one for full refund this time round).

Rob I really enjoy your videos and plain honest talk on why you like squares. I went back and forth for weeks on getting the GWX5600 in tan or white when they came out, but ended up getting a plain ol GWM5610 to reduce the flash for my client meetings. Thanks to Rob's guidance I have a combi band coming from pacparts, so that will be my square for now. I will wait for more releases with positive displays since my eyes are too old for the neg displays. Sold a Protrek 3100 with the updated negative display - just could not read it from most angles. Too bad Casio cant do affordable SOFT carbon fiber bands on every solar square - the watch is going to last +10 years and the band should be bomber. The CF band on my PRWS6000 feels cool and pliable for 10-12 hours, and it would be so easy to offer a combi or CF option on these models. Keep the vids coming Rob!

If only it came with a negative display like the tan/brown one in this vid. That would be deal maker instead of a deal breaker. 😒
@Salem Al Maskari Yeah, I saw that one also about 7 months ago and although it's still a nice looking watch, the thing is that it is missing the gray outer striped lines that this white one has and also, when the GWX5600C-7 is worn by someone with small wrists, the watch leaves too much of a gap between the top of the wrist and the band where they connect to the bezel.

Just get one without the tide function lol, It wouldn't free up any space by turning it off.

Ibe-san's white square G-Shock is claimed to be a GWX-5600C-7. Whatever he wears, this man has been a pioneer in the word of horology and deserves all the accolades he can get.
Lee K absolutely agree. Constantly breeding new life into his watches instead of simply issuing "limited editions" and "reissues' at an inflated price like the Swiss.
I don't think it's that model as it's clearly got a positive display in all the photos I've seen where he's wearing a white one.

It’s very easy to mod them and put it in another 5600 case. You can get an even stealthier look by putting the GWX5700 module (with less writing) in a 5600 case
He clearly daily wears a GW-M5600A-7JF, which is a white jdm version of the known GW-M5610
The GW-M5600 is the predecessor of the 5610. The GW-M5610MW is also white.
This must be a discontinued item because its nowhere to be found. And I don't want a used one from e bay.
