I have been shaving my face 3-4 years now and i can definitely tell shaving really improved my face ,my face glows after shaving,it removes dead skin and helps skincare products to penetrate better.
Just there are few tips that all beginners who are starting to shave need to know:-
    1) Wash your face really well with a face wash before and also use a mild exfoliator so the dead skin cells are removed causing easy shaving process.
    2) mosturize your face really well(don't use much but kind of massage it also)after washing and exfoliation. Then according to your skin type and preference use a lubricant such as a thick mosturizer or face oil or aloe vera.(i use mosturizer and it work really well for me).
    3) then apply the lubricant of your choice on the area targetted at the moment shave at an 45° angle.
    4) please be slow and gentle as you may cut yourself and you can actually go over an area twice.
    5) after the shaving process is done wipe your face with a cotton pad or tissue to remove all the hair and lubricant.
    5) then wash your face well with face wash ( this is the most important step that people forget which causes acne )because your skin needs cleaning after shaving and after moisturise well and apply sunscreen it going out.
    6) also clean your razor well with water or tissue and also sanitize it . DO NOT USE a razor after its blunt ,it will damage your skin more .
7)You can do it as often as once a week or as and when required(don't overdo it though).
    8) Please do not use makeup and go out in the sun too much for atleast 10 hours after shaving cause after shaving the skin sensitive so it needs time to heal so just shave your face before going to bed at night .
    Take care lovelies ❤

as someone who also shaved my face regularly, here some tips:
    > not only your face and shaving kit, your surrounding also need to be clean, you don't want any germs. right?
    > after shaved, clean your face once again with mild cleanser then choose skincare that can soothes and moisturized your skin really well. ( i usually used skin pack or sheet mask )
    > do not wear makeup right after shaving.

Other sunscreens I love are the Purito Daily Go-To Sunscreen, the Garnier Anti-Dryness, the Garnier Hydra 24h and the Scinic Super Mild Sun Essence. If you prefer a more lightweight one I recommend the Skin Aqua Super Moisture Milk. Hope this helps! Maybe it also depends where you live. 1:00 just to clarify, many people can achieve “glass skin” without shaving their face. it just depends on the individual’s skin, genetics, diet, skincare, etc. what works for some people might not work for others. skincare is personal, and people need to figure out what works best for their own skin and lifestyle.

As a brown girl with thick black hair, I’ve been threading my face for the past 11 years. Even though I’ve tried waxing and shaving, I’ve always found myself going back to threading. Reasons being I’ve noticed ingrown hair with waxing and shaving and hair grew back way faster compared to threading. Shaving for me is definitely high maintenance. Over the years of threading I’ve also noticed my facial hair to be significantly thinner/finer.

But as someone who's started shaving her face regularly not so long ago, I've personally seen a HUGE difference in performance of the very same products I've been using for years now. Which my dermatologist told me was because the vellus hair and dead skin cells were removed during the process - helping the actives penetrate a little easier and deeper. And another big plus for me personally is make-up also looks/sits 10x better after saving. But I get it, it's not for everyone I guess

I've shaved my face off and on for almost 30 years and every time I did it, my face was very smooth. One piece of information that we should keep in our mind is that once we shave our face, the facial skin will be weaker than normal, but absorb everything we apply on our face very well. Therefore choosing the right skincare is very important, otherwise you might experience breakouts. It happened to me in the past, when I used skincare that was not right for my skin.

Hi, I’ve shaved my facial hair over the years and Usually facials hair is mostly just fine hair and it’s mostly peach fuzz so it doesn’t have a thicker texture or root kinda like pubic hair does but I do know people that have thicker hair and that’s probably because of hormones and other imbalances within the body not so much as to shaving and there is lot of misconceptions with hair growing thicker and it really doesn’t unless it was thick to begin with and same with acne and breakouts , if you have acne prone skin or sensitive skin ,it can have skin irritation and sensitivity so better to be careful with the blade and making sure it’s clean and being gentle and having a good skin prep should be good to go . I love the way she did it it was super gentle

Do you have no irritation while using Tretinoin? I’m thrilled if so given, I was advised not to wax my upper lip or eyebrows anymore now that I’m using tretinoin. I just assumed that the razor would cause Skin to have some reaction when you apply the tretinoin. I would also LOVE To know which facial sunscreen you use. Have you found a mineral one that works? I use timeless is vitamin C andE ferulic serum first thing in the morning. It’s water-based, as is my Neutrogena hydroboost moisturizer, so when I try to put on Elta MD’s water resistant SPF 50 hybrid sunscreen, it pilled like crazy. I’m told that can happen when using water resistant sunscreen with water based products. I don’t want to stop using my serum or change out my moisturizer, so I’m still on the hunt for a good SPF. I may even risk a chemical moisturizer with SPF 50 and see if it irritates my tretinoin Skin…

If it helps, I started laser last year, Primelase, I have had 5 sessions so far (out of 8) and I love it. It works best where there is a high contrast of light skin and dark hair. I also have a colleague who had 6 sessions of Alexandrite 2 years ago and happy with results, but said she would need some extra sessions on specifc body parts. It will require maintenance (maybe 1 session a year)
