Thanks for the tutorial Karla, and for helping with my Christmas list. How do you put the hank of silk or yarn on the umbrella part? Also I love how politely your husband refused to wind the silks. Looking forward to your wrap up.
What I did to load on the umbrella (aka Swift) was hold it above the swift and then with the other hand I lift up the swift so it expands. As it takes up the looseness of the hank I can rest the hank on the swift as it expands. starts on 1 side and gently lower the silk as I raise the swift and it basically expands under the floss. Boy hope that makes sense. I can't wait to do the end of the month. It was a great stitchy month. Will probably film this Friday!
