Hi Bob, Jenny and Poppy, what beautiful scenic country and views over to Mallaig, also love Fort William. Thank you for taking us with you, stay safe x
A lovely drive with beautiful photography,, thank you for sharing your experience, it makes a change from watching all the bad news on TV. Watching your journey is therapeutic!
Thanks Bob and Jenny , that is one of our favourite scenic drives ..We haven`t been able to visit Scotland this year so thanks for taking us on the journey with you .
We think this is the best video you have produced. The scenery, the route you chose and your photography is stunning. We really enjoyed going on this journey with you virtually and feel inspired to follow a similar route in our motorhome. Thank you so much for sharing!
One of my favourite drives in Scotland. Was there only 2 weeks ago, and drove out to Kilchoan for the Tobermory Ferry. Gets narrow towards the end and drive is something like 46 miles I think but it’s beautiful out there. Ardnamurchan point is the further westerly point in mainland uk too.
We took the Corran ferry to Mull and spent the day in Tobermory a few years ago. We were Caravanners then so had the Landrover. Found it funny when Jenny reminded Bob of the unexpected ferry crossing. Maybe you should have wild camped in that remote spot. Beautiful scenery again. 😍 Trev n Sue
We stayed at Bunree this time last year - our favourite site! We too went on that ferry as foot passengers (free of charge)! You could never tire of the scenery its stunning!!! Great video loved that!!! ❤️😊😊
Stunning!! And so nice to watch this for me and alot of people who maybe at this time can't have the opportunity to travel as much. Thank you for sharing x
we were there in sept came across the other way from strontian stayed one night at resipole farm campsite probably the most picturesque area i have ever been to loved it around there definetly going back next year i hope
Gorgeous video, both. It’s a lovely drive. I use Corran ferry regularly and you’d be surprised just how many vehicles they can pack onto her! If you have a large M/H, do not use the Kingairloch route to Lochaline - it does join up but has a very narrow, twisty and rocky section with very few and very small passing places with the added hazard of very belligerent wild goats!! The walks around Strontian and Sunart are well worth exploring; you can walk up to the mines where they found Strontium - that’s a true claim. Huge thank you for reminding people to pull in to let following traffic pass you. It’s something often forgotten when people first encounter these roads and are probably un-nerved by them but a lot of local traffic will be going about their daily business, maybe emergency service people or needing to catch ferries. As to pulling into a passing place on the right - well, I had my car written off as a result of someone doing just that. Really enjoying this trip!
Hooray! I’ve made it into one of Bob’s videos (well, my motorhome at least!) centre frame as you are leaving Bunree to begin the tour - fantastic, by the way we’ll be doing that in the future!
Great trip.......that 'Jacobite' steam journey would have been great....inspite of running out of water.....have travel on train with driver up front on You Tube....was great......your trip leader takes you to some great places....give Poppy a 'pat' from me......
Hello Bob and Jenny, i really enjoy watching your videos, i notice you'd been to Witches Craig Caravan Park at Blairlogie, outside Stirling. That's just along the road from me, always see a few Highland cows there. Some nice carvings as well.
It is a whole year since we went on the Corran Ferry to Ardgour , we love it over there . Just to say Jenny that oak wood near Strontian is worth a look the next time you go . The road is not very long and no worse than the ones you went on . There is a beautiful little church down there & a few houses then a decent sized car park . Whatever you do do not try to go on the Castle Tioram road in your motorhome , it is bad enough in a car ! We enjoyed seeing the places we love with you and Poppy thank you and Take care :D Teddy
I agree. The woods at Ariundle near Strontian are beautiful and easy to access. I was apprehensive about taking my campervan up there but it wasn’t a problem You’d be fine visiting in a motorhome
The single track road to Kilchoan is superb. I dont know if I'd take a motorhome beyond there. It was ideal going by bike. Another great video from you guys.
Managed to climb up Glenfinnan monument 20 years ago, don't think I could do it now though! Although we did manage up the hill to watch the Jacobite steam engine go over the viaduct 2 years ago, a spectacular sight
I know that other folk to “Real time” journeys with views through the front screen but yours are particularly relaxing and of great quality. Somehow the mind absorbs images in real time, in such a nice way. Maybe it wasn’t such a bad thing to experience your railway journey in the rain. It somehow seems authentic.
Very good video we have driven on the same roads in September sana Bay is worth a look we also stayed at resipole on 2 or 3 times this is a very good site motorhome service point is excellent and very friendly wardens
Loved all the Scotland vlogs,we have been going since 2013,but only the last few years in our motorhome which we got in 2018,we especially enjoyed this vlog as we got married on Dorlin beach were Tioram Castle is in 2015 and had our reception in Loch Sheil Hotel which you passed, its a beautiful area we haven't been able to get there this year as we did The Cairngorms in Feb and Dumfries and Galloway in September,we would have gone probably round about now,but we are in N.Wales,,so aren't going anywhere for a bit by the looks of it,so it was lovely to watch all those lovely veiws again via you two and Poppy of course.🙂🌈
Fabulous thank you for my trip down memory lane x the beautiful scenery and stunning colours x i real treat to come home too x hope your having a fabulous time x lots of love xx
Gosh, that was just stunning, thank you both so much, I live in the Southwest and lanes like that are the norm, the locals are used them and bowl along, sadly those who can't reverse so well !!!!!!!!
Passed by here yesterday the small cafe at end of car park was open for take away coffee etc. One of my favourite spots. I moved up this area last October and live in Kinlochleven. Its 7 miles from Glencoe village. The area around the west coast is amazing. I ventured into Plockton and what a hidden gem. Your videos are great Bob and Jenny. I also follow Dan andMazzy on Travelling trolls thy make my ribs ache laughing from time to time. Take care your both a wonderful couple and this is what life is about getting out there and amongst it exploring.
Bob and Jenny were so glad you've found your way to Ardnamurchan. It's been vour bolt hole for over a decade. Fantastic area to come back to. Enjoy the rest of your trip Cheers Pam & Alan Earp.
Thoroughly enjoyed watching another of your scenic Scottish videos. We like the way you always seem to find lovely spots to park up and walk with incredibly stunning views. Looking forward to the next one, keep them coming 😊
WOW. Thanks for sharing this. We are new to Motorhoming but hoping to do the Highlands next year. When you are so remote, do you ever worry about break downs and moreso any medical emergencies ? Sophie and I are loving your channel, keep up the good work and your enjoyable adventures. D+S x
No, we have breakdown cover and they do have the NHS in Scotland too, helicopters and everything! Life is too short to worry about the unexpected, but we are prepared and carry a good first aid kit. Mobile signal is generally good as well. 😁👍
Just happened upon and enjoyed your video visiting one of my favourite parts of the world. Perhaps someone else has mentioned it, but at 25 minutes in, when you think you're looking at the Cuillins, these are the islands of Eigg and Rum, which you can see more clearly from the beautiful beaches of Sanna or Arisaig.
Thank you for sharing this lovely video. We hope to visit Ardnamurchan next September. Where did you find gas stations on Ardnamurchan? We hope to do a lot of driving as well.
Just finished the peninsula and we bottomed-out on the Corran Ferry both embarking and disembarking! £14. Our motorhome has a tow bar and full width protection bar which caught the metal ramp badly at both sides. Awful noise. Coupled with the £500 tow bar bike rack newly purchased which also dragged a little. Won't be doing that one again! But we enjoyed the scenery. Stayed at Resipole Site which was amazing.
Thanks for this. Brings back happy memories of a few weeks I spent in Lochaline a few years back. By the way, Strontian is pronounced with emphasis on the middle syllable StronTEEan (I got told off by a local for saying it wrong).
We knew you were at Bunree, you drove past our house at Strontian, if you visit next time with the car message us and we'll tell you some of the secret places that only the locals know about. Enjoy your vids Rosie & Bob (rosieandbob leitch on FB)
We will be in advisory travel restrictions when we go home meaning we can only stay overnight on camp sites in our region. As we were away for more than 10 days and before these restrictions were introduced the CMC say we can stay at any of their sites in England. But once we go back we are advised not to leave.
HiBob Great trip as normal I reckon u and J should bring some Merch out for Xmas ... 2 t shirts . Jenny s face and blurb “ its a bit narrow down here “ and your face (poppy incl.) and the blurb .. “yes .. very nice .. “ youd sell thousands 😂😂👍🏻
That’s exactly the journey we made in September.Over on the little ferry. Beautiful scenery and a lovely cup of tea and cake 🍰 at the little tearoom at the point. Only downside in that special place someone had discarded a face mask down on the rocks. They are harmful to wildlife. A rescue mission to retrieve it and put it in the bin 🗑!!!
Gotta luv those single track country roads (NOT!) ... lol. I’m in a car (Focus) v Land Rover whom wouldn’t give me an inch & she just sat glaring at me!! 1 damaged bumper (scrape ... me) later!!
scotland is breath taking, my fav place in the whole of the UK, thank you bob for sharing this
Thanks

Yes, I'm not keen on all this speeded up footage, that's not how you experience it.
We did Fionnphort from Bunree campsite on our scooter to see Staffa back in August, epic trip ..and no coaches this year was a bonus.
Very good video we have driven on the same roads in September sana Bay is worth a look we also stayed at resipole on 2 or 3 times this is a very good site motorhome service point is excellent and very friendly wardens

What a lovely place you live. Thanks for watching.
We are hiring a motor home a bit wary of the ferry incase of any damage .Was it ok ? thanks Liz
It was fine even for a near 8m motorhome like ours. Only 5 minutes crossing.
great video bob

hi jenny and bob we enjoy your blogs , can you tell what map book you are using its very detailed and just what we need for September
That was the 2016 AA Map Book of Britain. Must get a new one! 😊
@@BobEarnshawMoHo thankyou bob will take a look keep the blogs up guys
I remember the day of the unexpected ferry and Jenny’s face and voice when the satnav suddenly said “board the ferry”. “What” said Jenny. Xx
Yes, it was funny. We had a huge map of Europe and we could see no ferry...
If anyone gets to Ardnamurchan , stop at the bakery in Acharacle, possibly the best in Scotland
Thank you for sharing this lovely video. We hope to visit Ardnamurchan next September. Where did you find gas stations on Ardnamurchan? We hope to do a lot of driving as well.
I assume you mean fuel stations? You do have to be careful to have enough petrol or diesel, they are few are far between.
Wow 👍

Hi
When you return home are you going to be in lockdown?
If so that will be a real disappointment as we look forward to all your brilliant trips
