I have this floribunda growing 4 years now in eastern Ontario. One of my favorites. The blooms have different faces depending on weather and temperature.
@@HomeSweetHomewithKaren I love this rose so much, it inspired me to paint a watercolor painting of it as part of my business cards. And it will be the last time it's available at Pallatine for bare-root shipping. Don't know anyone else who carries it.
@@HomeSweetHomewithKaren Roses can be complex when it comes to painting. There are many you tube videos on watercolor tutorials for roses, especially for yellow. Because I work in both watercolor and watercolor pencil, there's a "beginner friendly watercolor pencil flower tutorial on how to shade" by artist Erika Lancaster that was helpful.
it lasts forever! It will fade and look drab before the petals will even think about falling off. Buds were out 1st week of June and yesterday I finally deadheaded all of it but it probably could have been done after 15 days. I really don't like how it fades but it could be because of the full sun it is in.

You’re right, I noticed a tiny change in the fall - not as bright. I got mine at Palatine- eagerly waiting for the Dec sale!!

Nice! I am trying my hand at watercolours too including the rose technique. I need to do some more practice 😂

How long does it last and then scatter?
