I just graduated and passed my boards a couple of days ago!! Definitely want to look into this after I get some experience in my hometown first 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾😭
Love this - just left the military and worked as an X-ray tech my entire time in- looking into the travel xray life and this video has been more than fun to watch Thanks for the advice !! Safe travels!
Such a good video! I am a new subscriber! I am a first year xray student going into my 3rd semester. I just started my xray journey here on youtube! I think it fun to record your experience and thank you for yours! Ultimately I would love to be a travel xray technologist!!
I stayed at Trinity Properties when I lived there...it was a regular furnished apartment that I signed a lease for that gave me the option of ending the lease at various times prior to a year by paying a certain pre-arranged fee depending on when I'd need to end the lease. Hope this helps and makes sense.

Hi , great video! Question, I’m looking at a Cardiovascular Technology program and I’m interested in specializing in Cath Lab/Electrophysiology. I actually work remotely in tech but I feel like traveling would be great if I can pick up night shifts. Anyway, I heard that X Ray techs can work as CVT’s but not the other way around. Salary seems to be similar ($60k-$120k) but would you say X Ray has more opportunities?
It really just depends on what interests you the most. I dont think you should make your decision about a career off of the "opportunities" but rather which would you LIKE doing. With xray you can go into different modalities like CT, MRI etc....but there are cath lab jobs open too and becausde its a specified area of work only certain people are qualified so that is sometimes a good thing. There are very different in what we do so I think you should DO WHAY YOU'LL LOVE and all the particulars always work out.
Hey fellow X-RAY tech 👋🏾 I’m looking into traveling and was wondering how finding housing goes when traveling. Does the recruiter help out with that or do you look on your own or a little bit of both?
A little bit of both. I think some companies MIGHT still provide housing but most don't. So I've been blessed to find my own places with the suggested sites from my recruiter. Furnished finders...airbnb...blueground...short term leases at apt complexes...etc etc. You'll definitely find somewhere to stay...even extended stay hotels etc have options and discounts for travelers.
I suggest getting AT LEAST 1 YEAR of experience under your belt before traveling. Most of the jobs require that. It will make it easier for you to transition to different hospitals etc with different equipment and protocols...do your best at finishing xray school!! I'm rooting for you!!🎉🎉
I have a few videos coming up that explain some of that...BUT a lot of what's included and not included depends on the specific company you choose an assignment with. Stay tuned though I'll have some information coming soon. Thanks for watching!
Hey girl! I recently started getting in contact with some recruiters for traveling, but it seems like they're all trying to give me the run-around! What travel agency do you use? Because I'm ready to get started, and they're holding me back.
I'm currently in between contracts BUT my agency was TRIAGE! Definitely try HOST, AYA, CROSSCOUNTRY ALLIED...they are all really good. I started with the search engine Vivian and went from there. They are usually pretty eager to get you a contract so maybe you just haven't gotten the perfect fit yet as far as recruiter/company is concerned! There is a perfect fit for you though! Keep at it!
I’m feeling a little nervous. I’m going to apply to the program… what ever has mad you hate your job? Did you have any medical experience before applying?
Heeeyy! Thanks for watching! I've never hated my actual job...I may dislike my co workers cause maybe some of them don't pull their weight ie. LAZY...but I've always liked my job. I didn't have experience but I did volunteer at a hospital in Radiology for a lot of hours before I decided I wanted to be an X-ray tech. So I'd definitely try to shadow for a couple days or something if possible...but if you can't, just do it. Don't allow fear to keep you from TRYING or APPLYING. All that could happen is you find out it's either FOR YOU or it's NOT...but never leave space for regret!🤗
@@jade5329 nothing is wasted. Trust me...if God allows you to get in the program...He will use it somehow someway...fear is not an option...just trust that if you pray for His guidance...He will do just that! Guide you.💚

How long did take you to get your CA license? I have a little over 1 year experience and want to start traveling but know nothing about the state licensing process.
It took about 30-45 days to receive the license after filling out the paperwork and mailing it in. They are a little slow in their licensing process so of you know you wanna work in CA within the next couple years I'd go ahead and pay for it. State licensing is very easy. You basically fill out paperwork and submit it...pay...and wait for them to send you your license and if you actually end up working in that state your travel company reimburses you. I would only get maybe 1 or 2 licenses of places you KNOW you want to work before actually getting into travel because other states don't take quite as long...and no need to have a stack of licenses to states you may not even go to...hope that makes sense and helps...😊
