Your reviews are great. They give great insight that aids in guiding buying of shoes. Based on recent vids it seems like the gorucks are going to be heading my way asap. Thanks guys
Fantastic review, I’ve been looking for shoes for lifting and warm up runs, and am interested in the Metcons. It took me a moment, but I was loving your voices and use of mm’s, until I realized why… you’re Canadian! So awesome to see reviews from lifters not in California…us Canadian’s work out too!
The best and most personalised review I've seen yet. The last part about Monty being was hilarious. You guys are just what we need and not some air brushed, fake sponsored video. Good work guys and keep it coming. :).
I have the 7s and completely agree, they're very tight and a few times I've got pins and needles in them 🤦🏻♂️ thought it was just me but good to hear it's not.
Can you recommend me a pair that can do HIIT and light weight ? Because I have narrow feet , high arc and I think I need cushioning . Cushioning & fit are important for me . Thank you 🙏
TH-cam algorithm brought me here and I’m glad it did! One of the best shoe reviews I’ve seen. I love the format and editing, and the fact that you don’t pull any punches. Instant sub. My favorite Metcon is the 5 because of its stiffness, insert + hyper lift option. When I need a softer shoe, I’ll reach for the Metcon X Free first or second gen. I’ll probably grab a pair of the 7s just for the aesthetics lol. BTW y’all are more than jacked and pretty enough to blow up, especially Monty 😛. Looking forward to this channel growing!
Did you compare the tongues? I’m a wide footer and absolutely loved my 1s. I just got my 7 and realized that the tongue was connected to a liner inside the shoe which limits the wideness of the shoe. I was so disappointed to find that out. No reviewer mentions it. Are the 6s like that? If so, that might be the reason why the 6s feel like they have more room.
It’s a shame that the functionality of the 7’s aren’t up to par with the 6’s. I was really digging the aesthetic of the 7’s. I own 6 pairs of Metcons and I liked the new silhouette of the 7’s.
@@getstrongby4038 He mentions a bunch of differences between the two models and I’ve watched a few other videos on here about the cons of the 7s as well. But from trying the 7s on myself, I’ve found that they look and feel more like a running shoe, than a typical lifting shoe. I think Nike designed these with those that perform more mobile exercises in mind. They are catering more so to the crowds who require a more versatile shoe for a wider diversity of exercises, apart from typical weight lifting. The kind of shoe that would allow you to go from lifting to running on a treadmill, for example. The first thing I noticed when trying on the 7s was that the sole was much more cushioned and shaped. The previous models had a significantly flatter, more significantly robust sole that would provide a sturdy platform for squats/deads. Whenever I walk in the gym with my 6s on, I am literally clicking around as if I am wearing boots/dress shoes because the soles are so tough lol. But with the 7s, like they mentioned in the video, the sole is more flexible and cushioned, and is not as rigid as the previous models. Nike definitely added more functionality to this training shoe, but also sacrificed a bit of what made the previous models so good. I’m definitely not saying that the shoe has gotten worse, but that they’ve refocused the purposes of the Metcons to include a wider array of functions. A more generalized usage.
@@getstrongby4038 I can recommend the Nano X as an alternative - beefy and nice wide toe box, shoe looks wider than even the Legacy Lifter 2 and Romaleos 2 in half a size bigger :)
@@CoolColJ I got the 7s pretty cheap But not impressed with them for lifting, they are pretty comfy but I tried squatting and it was a wobbly mess lol 😅 Toebox is wide but its also about an inch off the floor it's impossible to plant your toes even though the front is flexible, the curve is too extreme
@@Kyle-he8en sorry didn't see this response I agree 100% with everything g you've said too much of a "jack of all trades" and definately a master of none haha
Hey! Love the thorough review but I believe y’all are having some confusion with the heel to toe drop difference between the 2 shoes. Nike claims to have both still at 4mm… I’m a bit confused at this point
As someone with really wide feet this always really annoys me about companies like Nike, wish they’d have a wide fit option. Whenever I buy new trainers I normally expect them to be too narrow and just hope they’ll stretch over time with wear!
I use the 6’s without the insert or the heel lift so it feels more natural, I’m a big fan of barefoot training. Interested to try the 7’s but I’m a bit worried they’ll be too small for me as I have very thick wide feet to the point where if I use the 6’s with the inserts they feel way too tight
It is may be just me but now when I first wear my 7s for crossfit training, I thought no way too tight. Every time I get them on have that feeling... BUT after a couple of minutes they are more comfy than my air maxes. Left them on for long city walks and beach and found them very comfortable. So may be with temp and feel of your feet they just change to be the comfiest shoes. So try this way. Do not let the first minutes judge it for you, walk, squat in them in the show room and wait couple of minutes... worked for me.
Just received mine : So disappointed ! I Have the 6 and I was a fan ... The 7 is very comfy and that's all that is better compare to the 6 . upper mesh is WAY less breathable and feels cheap . The velcro is ridiculous and damages the laces , also the stitches on the tongue is really weak . Better unstitch it . Final point :it definitely misses a lace hole . I'm going to send them back and purchase as much 6 available .
The quality of this video is insane. How the hack don't you have more subs? Well done!

Didn't know you guys did fitness reviews. Glad I searched after buying some of the 6s.
Neither Nike nor anyone else has reviewed the actual size in such detail.
This is my kind of review! Very thorough and useful
Awesome review! Thank you! I haven't seen the 7's in person yet but aesthetically speaking I'm not impressed. I'll stick with my 6's. thanks guys
Just got 6s today. Felt same as 7s.
@@vroomerlifts Good to know because I definitely prefer the look of the 6s.
Thank you! Thanks to Monty, I just subscribed!

Thanks for review, now im sure to stick with my 6. Regards from Poland
Great actually real, accurate and useful review Eh!
Love the content, I got a pair of Metcon 6s on the way. I"m ready to change the pace from NoBulls
Great quality video😀😄
You guys are awesome! These videos are sooo good 😁 perfect comparisons, keep up the good work 👍🏼👍🏼
Yea I tried the 7s out on a shop and didn't like them at all. Going for the 6!
Nice edit guys!
Good to know! Thank you 💞

thank you!! i was struggling on which to go with. 6s it is

just bought metcon 7 12 days, they are tight when my reebok runner 3.0 is way comfortable, but it's not bad it's just tighter fit on the metcon
Very good video

Thanks for the review. I was thinking on buying the Metcon 7, but now, I pretty sure I´m not going to do it.
Best shoe for cross train in your opinion?
Oh the numb toes thing is ominous sounding to me, the 6s are already do that for me so I can only imagine how the 7s would feel.
Nike shoes tend to run narrow but can you say if the fit in the 5 6 and the 7 differs at all?

We are waiting for new Reebok adventure too :))))
Can you please tell me how the metcon 7 are for running? I am prone to knee pain on the treadmill. Or if you would recommend the free metcon 4?
I'm starting to run for ACL rehab my school is sponsored by nike, is the metcon 7 better for just running and jumping and agility drills?

Buy a larger size if they feel like a minivan! Great review! lolz!
Metcon 7's feel more in line with a nano which is weird
You just saved me from buy 7s just because they are newer 🤣 amazing review
Metcon 6 vs 7. The winner is..... Monty!!!!
obviously!! :)
Wish i would’ve watched prior to buying my 7s..they were too big for me and I was tripping.
I almost spent an extra $50 bucks buying the 7s instead of the 6s... Thank you

Isn't it weird that the 6's have a drop of 15mm, when they were advertised to be 4mm.
If it's not broken don't fix it. Ill keep my 5's and 6's
Do you guys have German ancestors or smth 🤪?? That rational analysis felt good.
