Taurus really hit a great design by making the frame in stainless steel or carbon steel and the sleeved rifled steel barrel with a aluminum shroud and rail system to lighten the gun out front compared to an all steel shroud and rifled barrel.
Caleb can you verify that the cylinder release nearest the grip wobbles and tips/rocks if you move it by finger? Not talking about the slide direction of this thumb lever in 9/3 direction. This is 12/6 rocking as it sits in resting place on the screw that secures it in place. I checked the screw for tightness and it was not very tight nor had loctite on it and even though I tightened it with loctite it still rocks on the frame/screw. I just got this firearm and plan to shoot first shots this weekend. This rocking of the lever normal? Thank You!
I am trying to make a choice between the Taurus 44 and the Raging Hunter in 44. Can you tell me the biggest difference besides the rail? Is the Hunter “more durable”? What do you get for the extra $?
