This video explains how to print on envelope using rear paper feed.
(Windows 7 and XP-950 are used as an explanation.)

perfect - had no luck printing 13X19 film for screen printing until I found this video - kind of odd you can't just leave paper back there queued up but all's well that ends well

I find the "Print Dialogue" process for using the rear paper feed to be convoluted, and I'm frustrated that only one envelope or special stock can be loaded at a time. Epson tech support overseas and in the US is disrespectful. I had an awesome Epson Stylus Photo RX620 that I bought in 2006 and it just died. Every time I need to rear feed this XP-830 my sadness deepens. Probably my last Epson, if it lasts that long.

I understand what you are saying. The rear paper feed of new XP-8500 has been improved, in other words, it returned to the traditional operation. You still need to set the paper size and paper type on the panel, but it can be disabled by setting if you want.

I will research the next printer I buy....I will not repeat buying the XP-820, a painful lesson. And all these numerous steps just to print a simple envelope, stupidity!
