It's a small world. I'm in Georgia every year to visit friends and was going to buy the lens for my next visit and just turned on your review and you're standing in the exact places I wanted to travel too. Maybe I'll see you in Georgia next year.
Great review Oma. I just subscribed to your channel. I like your presentation style and delivery. It is perhaps one of the best I have come across on YT. I bought the Tamron 50-400 instead of the Sigma 100-400. You should do a review of the Tarmon too. It is a fantastic lens. I went to Zion National Park twice in the last month or so. I only brought the 50-400 and my Tamron 17-28. I ended up using the 50-400 for half of the shots on the first trip and 100% of the shots on the second trip. That extra 50mm of wider coverage is very useful.
I bought the 50-400 a couple of months ago. It is a fantastic lens and gives you a nice 400mm reach. However, if birding is your intended use, go for the 200-600. You need all the reach you can get. You may even use your camera in APSc mode to make it a 900mm lens.

Thanks for the review! After I watch I got one used for $500. Going to shoot some surfing!
Happy to share your thoughts :)
Excellent Review thank you, i also love how you say 100 mmla mmmmla lol Awesome dude.
Great review!
i heard there was a firmware update on the sigma 100-400, but has to be sent to Sigma to be updated. is it worth it? thanks!
Only the earliest copies must be sent to Sigma. Mine was bought late 2021 and came with version 2.0 out of the box.
A good affordable light weight telephoho which compliments my 150- 600 bazooka
i were about to get this lens because of the affordable price. still, thinking if i should go 200-600mm. 600 said to be the entry for birding.
400mm bird shooting is almost fun, but it is much lighter.

Sigma should be embarrassed not supplying a tripod collar with this.

I have no idea what you're saying but at least the video was fun to watch lmao
Same - lol but his visuals are great.
