- An exhibition and explanation of several of the known glitches and exploits in Hiveswap Act 1. It certainly didn't take us long to break this game wide open.

The homestuck fandom would probably replay the game enough that any bug would be found in a matter of days.

The patch may have removed the swapglitch, but you can easily avoid it by getting an unpatched version of the game. I'm not gonna tell you how to go about getting one, but I can definitely say that it's a good thing the game was released with a DRM-Free version, which people may or may not have hosted online at launch, allowing for download of the unpatched game.

edit: not too sure if this is a commonly found glitch, but if you click the 2nd password game two (or more possibly) times before it fades out, strange... things happen. just experience it yourself i guess

because there’s no unique dialogue or anything when you switch the characters like this.
if this was a genuine easter egg, jude wouldn’t act like joey when he takes her place.

Now that act 2 is out, I wonder if this glitch still works.
I tried importing a Jude% save into Act 2, but unfortunately the only thing Act 2 checks for is whether or not you have the Universal Batteries, and not what character uou okay as. It also trashes all items which you're not supposed to have.

It's possible to complete Hiveswap: Act 1 using half an acrobatic pirouette off the handle, but to do this we need to talk about scratching the universe

wow!! i woudve messed aroud with glitches, but last weekend i tried. my cumpuer freaked the FUCK out at me and hiveswap temporarily broke and wodnt let me play at all so now i'm hesitant to try and glitches sause it took me an entire weekwnd to sort it out :(

If that turned on microphone with the fucking earth batteries is going to be a part of some bullshit puzzle that makes zero sense I dont know what Ill think/do.
Im just saying, man. It better just be an easteregg in Act 2 or something because if it ends up being a vital part of the game its going to cause a lot of salt.
Just imagine. People install Hiveswap Act 2 as the release rush commences. Then they all simultaneously get stuck on a bit because they forgot to pick up the batteries back in Act 1. Then assuming they realise theyre missing an item, they go back to do that, crying while doing so because they have to revert back all that damn progress. Then once they get back to where they were they attempt every possible interaction and combination to try to get past this bit. The last one is the alien microphone with the batteries. SURELY it wouldnt work right? Everything in Alternia is weird and different and gross. An Alternian battery has to be some gross "powerslug" or something right?
Nope. Combining the batteries and the microphone immediately solves the puzzle. FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
