I use to show a lot of color vinyl in my channel. I haven't been making videos the past few years, but I'm going to try and get back into it. Fun to see others making videos like this. Nice
Im still 15 so sadly I can’t really afford records especially because there are no shops close to me who sell records but also because they are really expensive online and I don’t have a job yet
Lil King yes!!! I grew up with CDs rather than vinyls so they are this sense of nostalgia for me :) they truly are underrated. The fact that CDs are cheaper doesn’t really matter to me because I could afford vinyls (which I am very fortunate about), but I’d rather CDs.
Ask your parents if they have any you could go through! That's what I did, I'm 16 and I've got almost a full crate of albums now. And I've only been collecting for a year :)
These records look amazing! But apart from Bowie, I don’t know any of these artists. (I know Ed Sheeran is a thing, but I don’t know his music.) I’m in my mid-20s. I feel old now. 😅
You're so underrated! You have an amazing personality & seem like an overall chill person. May I add you're music tastet is amazing, I started listening to The Maine because of you & I'm in love with them! I have a vinyl Instagram account which is @julia.vinyl :))
none of the albums i want on vinyl rn come in fancy colored vinyl and i'm kinda jealous of people who have cool colored records lol... i only have two and they're quite plain, one is a beatles single (the a side is love me do, can't remember what the b side is) that's clear red and shaped like an apple, and the other one is arctic monkeys' tranquility base hotel & casino on clear-ish vinyl :D
I'm not sure if you remember me, but I'm a freshman at St Rose. I've spent this whole day watching your videos and I'm so in love with you and your record collection! I have a question though. Where do you get your vinyls? I can't find a record store near me and they are just too expensive, I have no idea where you get your money from but I wish I had as many records as you. That's why I don't own too many of my own yet, I have more of my dads than my own! You honestly inspire me so much. I've been trying to fit in with everyone else and I shouldn't be. I should be myself, and not afraid of peoples opinions. You have so much confidence and I aspire to be like you. Keep doing what you're doing, and just know you will always have people behind you and supporting you no matter what, me being one of them :))
IM SMILING THE ENTIRE TIME READING THIS!!! To answer your question though, vinyl is pretty expensive so sometimes its a pain to start up a collection. My favorite place to go and buy records is a place called Vintage Vinyl in Fords, NJ. There's also Jack's Music Shoppe in Red Bank but I don't think they have the best selection tbh and they're pretty overpriced. I've found albums I love for under $20 at Vintage Vinyl and they have A LOT more to choose from. Also Amazon is usually a cheaper alternative as well and usually ship colored vinyl - or if you're looking for a specific band's record, you'll probably find it for a lower price on that bands website than at a store. Also, whenever you're traveling and you run into a record store/store that sells vinyl, sometimes it always pays off to look there :) I hope this helped even though its SUPER long and good luck with your collection! I've had mine going on for a while now and I still struggle with the $$ situation haha. But anyway, BE YOURSELF. It's definitely something you'll learn throughout highschool and probably become stable with sooner than you think. But thanks so much for this comment I'm smiling so much y'all have no idea!
Thank you so much, seriously that helped me tremendously! Would you recommend merchnow? I came across them a while ago but wasn't sure if it was a trustworthy site. And no problem at all! To be honest I didn't think you would even answer, but thank you so much again :)
No problem! And yes for sure, a lot of bands actually sell their merch through merch now officially and I've ordered plenty of albums from there so yes definitely trustworthy! :)
Hi Sophie, great video! I really like colored vinyl records too! :) I always choose to buy colored version of a certain album if it's just possible. I just made my first vinyl collection video and I would appreciate it if you could check it out :) It felt a bit awkward too :D I think I'm also going to do colored vinyl video at some point, I have quite many of them! :)
Take a shot every time she says 'It compliments the artwork beautifully'

Great collection and vid!!
You could be Mia Wallace from pulp fiction.
How do you play the 7” records with the big holes like pinkish? Can they be played as is or do you need to put something in it to keep it from moving?

Fucking love your collection! 💕 I also made a video on mine if you’d like to check it out
Shouldn't it be "color" vinyl? "Colored" sounds a bit tacky
