Step 1 is to Get Hosting and a Domain

Step 2 is to Login to WordPress
Wordpress makes it very easy to create a website without coding.
With Bluehost, WordPress is preinstalled on your website, saving your a step
To login into Wordpress, click "WordPress" from your bluehost account.
This will take you to your WordPress dashboard where you can edit your website.
Step 3 is to Install a New Theme
Installing a new WordPress theme will make your website look much better.
The theme I recommend is "astra" because it has dozens of free designs for you to choose from.
Step 4 is to Edit Your Website
It's very easy to make a website look exactly how you want.
Just open the page you want to edit and click "Edit with Elementor" to start making changes instantly.

Note for step 3: The plugin to use with the Astra theme has been renamed. It's now called "Starter Templates - Elementor, Beaver Builder, Gutenburg etc". It's still free. If you type in Astra it will come up 😃

How do you use elementor on a theme for E-commerce? I keep getting an error message stating there is no content to edit with Elementor on the product page. Also, if I use a business theme template with Astra instead, then can I include a plug in later to add a "cart and checkout" option? 100%, I could not have made a decent website without this video. Why do website interfaces have to be so damn complicated.
This is so great it very helpful. I started a youtube channel and just closed my eyes and didnt it. Only problem is this you are offering is not month to month. The plan I pickeds was for 3 years at that amazing price. It shows close to $150.00 for the 3 years and in SA that is alot of money. Being unemployed I cannot pay once off if it was month to month then yes.

Do you have a recommended plugin that is capable of hosting pictures, a scheduling/calendar plugin, and some sort of secure payment plugin? Like what a fancy barber shop or salon might have?
Edit: Already learning more from your videos, I meant theme, not plugin. Or if there isn't a one stop solution, a recommended starter theme with a few plugins that provide those services well.
You can use Woocomerce for adding payment option on your site. Astra and divi themes are great options for you.
So, I followed step by step, got lost, and now I'm in limbo trying to fix all the mistakes. It's a good thing that Elementor has a step by step tutorial or who knows how bad off I'd be.

is your world press is different from your own, I cannot locate the free design that comes with the theme after click plugin, by clicking library to select elementor to easily edit the design, to enable click free at the top to see them all. no import to the site.

What drawbacks does this have?
To change your theme just install a new theme in your wordpress backend dashboard and activate it. You should take a backup of your website data before making theme changes.

You can add custom css by going to themes - customize page - additional css. To make html changes best to create a child theme.

Daragh, I subscribed for your Udemy course on digital marketing and it needs update because it was recorded 2 years ago. Following your class on Udemy, I got confused as bluehost and WordPress had changes on their website which is why I came to TH-cam and found this lecture. Hello, great video. I followed these steps and my domain has came up as temp.domains/ with a load of letters and numbers. Not sure how to fix this?
Your domain is still not active, please contact your domain and hosting provider to fix the temporary domain error.
It's a temporary url that you need to change , It happened to me , go to your host website (bluehost in my case) , then my sites, settings, site url , and add the domain you bought. (watch videos here on youtube "how to change the temporary domain"

Hello Daragh, I'm currently taking your digital marketing course on Udemy. I have an issue with importing demo data of the theme to my wordpress site.
I've tried to do it manually, to download and activate all the required and recommended plugins for the theme, make download size big enough on the website, I also contacted bluehost support team but they couldn't identify the issue.

What kind of email can I write to you for cooperation?
Bluehost is the worst website host/provider. I had them for 35 days and missed the window for a refund by 5 days. I was locked into a three year contract. My simple website was down three to four times a week and customer service did not answer my questions or resolve the issue - I had to learn ways of resolving it myself. I had the middle level service where I had access to better customer support - that's not the case.
