Hindus had a custom of erecting Water troughs (#Piyau) and #Shades for #animals in #memory of their loved ones. It was too common across the Hindu population of the Sub-continent. We tried to #discover some of the #Water #Troughs across #Hyderabad and here we are with some #beautiful ones. These Water Troughs are not functional now but their #structures tell how magnificent and eye-catching they would have been in their days!

Beautiful heritage.. v nostalgic.. reminds us of culture and traditions that existed in our land before partition..!!

The irresponsible uneducated PPP Heritage Minesters had Destroyed everything in sindh Provence. The Pyous of Karachi has demolished, in my childhood so many pious were in Karachi specially the Soldier Bazar outside KMC market pyou was v big and famous and others Pakistan chock, Ranchor line Bhora peer, Lee Market and saddar pious were v famous but now there's nothing only the dirty names plate left.
