Great summary of advantages of Kindle! I would like to add if you are someone who has issues with eye strain, the ability to easily move between the ebook and the audio book is hugely helpful (if one has both the e and audio books). This is also great if you are busy, e.g., time to make dinner: i set it on audio-while the oven is heating up. I can move to the ebook until I need to go chop some vegetables, move back to audio w/o skipping a word. It is also helpful w/books where the names get confusing: I switch to the ebook.(admittedly, i do this mostly on my ipad)
💕BIG FONTS💕!! I got gifted a Kobo so no access to kindle unlimited sadly, but I agree the reading is definitely faster! I can't do audiobooks because I completely zone out and not absorb a thing of what I heard x(.💓
Yessss!! Same goes for Kobo and all ereaders! I listen to audiobooks when I am cooking or doing things around the house or when I go out for a walk. It definitely helps when you are doing something while listening to the audio not just sitting. But I know that it's not the same for everyone. But some audiobooks are really really good with multiple narrators and effects and voice acting that makes the book 100 times better! 😍🫶🩷
I’d rather get a kobo, but a paper white is ok only if you have big library of kindle books. I’m getting a kobo mainly, and kindle for my small library on amazon. I love physical books the most, but kobo has scribing; and color writing for books that’s better than the kindle scribe. Regardless, I’m happy you enjoy you kindle
I'm probably weird :D I enjoy online reading more than reading a physical book. I grew up reading fanfictions so maybe I just got used to it. Most importantly though, I hoard SE book, but I am way too scared to hurt them in any way, I put all of my books in protective foil, never slide them on my shelves and cracking a spine is a cardinal sin in my opinion :D I am always so conscious about opening the book too much or having dirty hands or not being able to eat while reading, so I just read them on my phone or mac while lying down and stuffing my face knowing I won't damage my precious babies in any way :D :D
I'm probably weird but I can't read ebooks. I find my mind wanders and I can't concentrate. I also like holding physical books and seeing how far I am (especially if its a 500 page book). Even with audiobooks I end up getting the physical book too. Maybe I'm just like collecting things. 💖
