    I just bought a 2024 Trailblazer RS AWD with 9 speed auto and all the available options including the panorama sunroof and 19-in wheels for $32K. Don't knock the 1.3L turbo until you've taken it for a spin and tried the Sport mode. They let me drive it for 2 days before I decided to purchase. I don't understand all the vitriol and negativism against this vehicle. As I understand it, the only real difference between 2024 and 2025 is additional color choices as well as a hardened engine that will handle E85 corn squeezings.

    Great review sir! Am a fan of the original trailblazer but absolutely love my 2024 trailblazer find it handles really well. Also will say that little 3 banger does a great job

    Chevy in the future needs to create a version of blazer that’s a competitor to a wrangler

    When I think of a trailblazer, I think of my 2002 body on frame trailblazer with a 4.2 L in-line six cylinder that could tow a decent trailer behind it with a load.

    If you're going to purchase this vehicle, I suggest getting an extended warranty and be meticulous on the maintenance and always change oil on time. These are smaller displacement engines with turbos so you really have to be on top of maintenence.

    How good is the ride on bumpy roads?

    • @kebsis
      @kebsis 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I have the 2024, road noise and rough riding on bumpy roads are the two biggest drawbacks for me. It's not so bad that I haven't gotten used to it since I got the vehicle in June, but coming from a big luxury SUV like I did it was definitely noticable.
      Otherwise I like it quite a bit for what I leased it for (daily driver to work); in retrospect I wish I had gotten one of the higher trim levels that include noise cancelling tech.

      When he said 1.2L 3 cylinder I expected him to say “generator for the electric drivetrain” lmao

      Unless you've driven one of these with the 1.3L turbo engine, don't make assumptions on how much power and acceleration you can get from something this small. I've compared my 2024 TB against other vehicles with three times the engine displacement and easily beat them on takeoff and acceleration.

      @AUDIOfile-frequency I've seen "0-60" ratings from 8.5-10 seconds. Personally I haven't timed it but I have jumped on the highway numerous times and gotten up to 80mph with no issues - with a passenger and the back full of luggage, cooler filled with ice, etc. Switching on the "Sport Mode" makes it even faster on acceleration. As I said, don't let the small displacement numbers fool you. I thought the same the first time I saw a Trax. I would never have bought it with a CVT. IMO, the 9-speed tranny makes a big difference!

  • @geyser3445

    Why so expensive? Looks like a Trax.

    • @kebsis
      @kebsis 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I test drove both vehicles before deciding on the Trailblazer, imo the Trax felt quite a bit cheaper. The steering was sloppier, the transmission was jerkier, and it was slower to respond.
      That's comparing the Trax with the 1.2L engine and 6 speed transmission to the TB with a 1.3l and 9 speed. I didn't drive the 1.2l TB with the CVT but I would guess you'd be better off with the Trax in that case because otherwise they are similar in the cabin.

      @geyser3445 Every Trax review I have seen, all of their complaints that "it doesn't have this" and "doesn't have that feature" are resolved with a TrailBlazer. 1.3L Engine...9-Speed transmission...Panoramic Sunroof...Rear seat armrest/cupholder....Power tailgate....AWD....None of these are available on a Trax but I have them all and more on my 2024 TB RS.

    I don't understand the crazy price difference between the Trailblazer and the Trax. And I also don't understand how somebody would purchase a probably long term unreliable Trailblazer over a similarly priced Mazda CX30. The Mazda has almost 40 more hp, more torque with a non turbo engine that's proven to be reliable. And it gets better hwy mpg. Throw in a nicer exterior and interior too.

    Blazer was a disgrace to the name now this piece of garbage is ever more of a disgrace to the trail blazer name. Why didnt they take the Tahoe amd make it smaller and call it the Trail Blazer not this piece of shit. They made the new EV truck look like the Avanlanche.

    Nope. 1.3, 3 cylinder. What a joke. Looks just alright, and may have some gimmicky tech features, but I wouldn't trust this for reliability. Trailblazer was an SUV, this is just rubbish.
