Lemon Rasam (எலுமிச்சை ரசம்)
Lemon (எலுமிச்சை) - 2 nos
Tomato (தக்காளி) - 1 no
Turmeric (மஞ்சள்) - 1/4 tsp
Garlic (பூண்டு) - 5 nos
Chop ginger (இஞ்சி) - 1/2 tsp
Tamarind Pulp (புளிக்கரைசல்) - 100 ml
Toor Dhal water (துவரம் பருப்பு கரைசல்) - 1 cup
Water (தண்ணீர்) - 4 cup
Oil (சமையல் எண்ணெய்) - 3 tsp
Mustard(கடுகு) - 1/2 tsp
Jeera(சீரகம்) - 1/2 tsp
Pepper corn(மிளகு) - 1/2 tsp
Curry leaves(கறிவேப்பிலை) - Few
Asafoetida (பெருங்காய பொடி) - 1/4 tsp
Coriander leaves (கொத்தமல்லி இலைகள்) - Few
Salt(உப்பு) - To taste.

For lemon rasam, garlic and tsmarind not required. Grind ginger green chillies, tomato and kothamalli and add in toor dhal and add water. It will be yummy

No chilli powder as it'll change the colour.
This is not authentic lemon rasam. We don't add tamarind and garlic. இதுக்கு முக்கியமான flavour இஞ்சி and பச்சை மிளகாய்.
This is not an original lemon rasam but a hybrid lemon rasam with the addition of Garlic, Tamarind, and no Green Chillies!
Lemon rasam means you get sourness from only tomatoes and lemon juice….
