Woodford Reserve Double Oaked is my favorite. So far..

A little more available and quite a bit less expensive, it's a nice alternative. I actually prefer it at the higher proof. I'll keep a Blanton's, but I drink the EHT.
Russel's Reserve is wonderful!
All Evan Williams whiskeys are very good!

Elijah Craig is a staple can't beat it for the price. Although I love myself some knob creek 9 year.
I'm sipping Elijah Craig, it's really good and is price friendly.
Try Huling Station if it’s available in you’re area.
Love Blanton's when I can find it, Elijah Craig and 4 Roses Single Barrel from different liquor stores are staples in the house but Old Forster is my go to. Whether it's Statesman, Single Barrel or regular 100 proof.
I don't mind New Riff but only ever see it at 70+ a bottle and not worth that price IMO
I'm still looking for the standard sb blanton's. It's price is beyond stupid now, and the SFTB is damn near impossible to find
@@frederickglass1583 I've never seen a SFTB Blanton's sadly. I have a couple bottles of original Blanton's that comes out on special occasions, (one was actually bottled on my birthday) but that's it. I haven't bought a bottle in a few years since in the Metro Detroit area I can only find them at over $120 mark up usually. Last bottle I bought was actually down in Kentucky about 5 years ago now
If you think some of these are good go find a bottle of fiddler Georgia heartwood. Hands down the greatest bourbon I’ve ever had. And knob creek 18 year is great too
Frey Ranch seems to be doing things right. They are on batch 5 of their latest release and in my opinion it is the best. The sky is the limit for these guys.
Ngl, Frey Ranch and Smoke Wagon are likely Nevada's best 2 in-state distilled whiskeys on the market currently.
I've never tried Blantons, the Weller's, or the Pappy's, but most every other high end juice. Having typed that. Eagle Rare is the best I've had. Hopefully I'll try something that tops it.
ER10 is a solid bourbon. I'd kill a man to have a chance of tasting the 25yr Double Eagle in the crystal decanter set.
Blanton's is overrated. It's very good but overpriced and overrated as compared to others.
I enjoy Larceny. I find it a good value and it's taste is inline with it's price but I haven't seen a bottle of it in my area in months.
Larceny is easy to find by me. Almost every store has it. Larceny barrel proof is a completely different story tho. I've never even seen a bottle
WhiskeyRaiders got it dead on the money with Stellum. Their Black and Private Selections are worth every cent. I have their Blue label "Vega" bottle and holy hell is is good! For all those who are looking for Blanton's, go for STFB, and avoid the lure of the Green Export label. Green Export is IMO watery, very little flavor, and extremely lacking for a $100+ bottle that's only at 40% ABV.
I stupidly made the mistake of buying GLB out of Frootbat from Australia last year. I find myself struggling to even WANT to finish the bottle for how lackluster of a whiskey it honestly is. I've heard that Blanton's best selections are SB, SFTB, Takara Red label, Black Label, and the rare Golden label.
Usually these lists are complete bullsh#t but some of these picks are actually pretty solid .not all of them
But 6 of the 10 are good in my opinion. Good luck trying to find blantons anywhere and if you do it will probably be 2-3 × retail but skip it anyway it's overrated.
I love Blanton's but you're right, way overrated. And if anyone can get it for $65 a bottled (or even find a bottle) good luck. My sister-in-law bought a bottle for my brother last year in Temecula, CA......$269.

Try the bourbons on the shelf that are good value. Do not bother with any buffalo trace products as they are not worth the money.

This video is cringy AF. A "blend" is not what you are saying in this video. The term blend refers to whiskies from multiple distilleries blended and sold. What you are saying a "blended" is actually called batching if done in one distillery and, in the Scotch World, would be considered a "Single..." even though they are batched and "blended" for consistent taste.
