I've lived on the shore of Canyon Lake for 8 years and never knew where Spring Branch, TX got its' name. Now I know thanks to you. Thank You! A great video I enjoyed it.

Moving out there next month. I'm so excited and can't wait to explore and catch a bunch of tiny fish.

Really beautiful, you know the closest i've been to a kayak lately is when one fell of the car in front of me and they didn't stop no matter what I did (they just drove faster!!)

Some of the biggest Cypress trees I have seen are on the Sabinal River in Utopia, Texas. Love the scenery on this video.

Awesome! I plan to do that same trip. About the only thing you were missing was a fishing pole.

I'm sure the fishing is great down through there. Since this may be a popular stretch of river very soon it may be better to go a little further upstream if you can.

best to start at the Guadalupe state park if you are going to fish...not far from there to nichol's landing or the $5 dollar spot at 281

How long did it take to do the 4 miles? I assume around an hour if you're pushing, and 1.5 hours taking your time?

Do you happen to remember about how much cfm the river was flowing on this trip?

How long was the paddling trail? You did Nicholas landing to 281 right? I want to say t that’s the first get out point from the full route correct ?

Great video, if it was a one way 4 mile ride how do you get back with your kayak to your car. I love your videos and just found your channel. I’m definitely motavated to get out and try kayaking but I have a lot of basic questions like the one I asked. Thanks

At the intersection of Hwy 281 and the Guadalupe River is a canoe livery shown at the beginning. They will drop you off upstream at Nichols landing. Then you just simply kayak downstream back to the canoe livery. They have plenty of kayaks you can rent or bring your own.

Where do you start to see alligators ?

    • @secretsoftexas6872

Generally south and east of San Antonio from my experience. They are most abundant in SE Texas.
