So good to hear this history. My mother and my family were Hermit Park residents (The McConochie Family). I went to St Margaret Mary's across the road and I used to catch the school bus in front the the store every school day. That shop was certainly a big part of my life. I remember Phillip Leong so very well - he was a lovely gentleman.
There was a great bakery in the Phillip Leong plaza, and if I helped my Mum with the shopping, she would buy one of their beautiful little cakes as a treat for me when we were finished. Mr leong was very well respected by everyone.

Brings back many memories , my sisters worked for Mr Leong back in the 1970s.
