The A220 is my favourite new generation aircraft. It so comfortable to fly on and helps to make the travel experience more relaxing. I’ve only flown on Air Baltic twice, but prebooked an inflight meal on both occasions. Very nice meals and well priced. I wish more airlines did this type of service. ✈️

For me was always a toss up between Embraer series and the CS series as it was before the Airbus rebrand, as to the best short haul commuter jet. But for me its the A220, just a little pocket rocket, clean lines, amazing space inside despite its size and very quiet and those great big windows are awesome. Have flown on a few with Swiss Air.
Haha I agree with you on your description :) However, I think the A220 is more focused in the A318/A319 segment. In my opinion is less regional jet than an E195. I could imagine travel from Riga to Tenerife on this plane, as AirBaltic does, but I couldn't imagine doing it on an E195. That's what I mean :)
@@OnBoardHD Yeh agree, with roughly same amount of passengers the A220 has nearly a 1500km range advantage, that is huge and despite it really slotting into regional, it pretty much matches the A318, even betters it in many respects! But after all it was a Bombardier product competing against the A318 and others. Great plane though. On the other end of the scale, I just want to get one more 380 flight in before they prematurely dissapear.

If Europe had an EuroAviation Noise Contest, surely this aircraft would win flaps down, its so incredibly quiet, not to mention totally stylish and utterly stunning with massive windows. Respect to Baltic for use native people for their English safety video, why do non British carriers use posh English accents on theirs? only 1% of Brits speak like that, its stupid. Standard seat is 32 inches, very generous indeed, and the food looked amazing. The cirrus information was interesting, small ice crystals, didn't know that, thanks.

@@OnBoardHD Hi mate, yes, its possible to do that, although you need to make a Covid test at arrival if you go out of the airport. There's no restriction about the country you came in, but the country you will go after it can have restrictions about Portugal.
Very nice plane..I have to try it, although veeery quiet..How does it compare to the E2-190 on take-off sound? I flew the Wideroe one and it was quite nice..Not so quiet as i thought ..You have to have some sort of growling/screaming engine on takeoff otherwise what kind of avgeek are you? :)) Can someone tell apart the engines howling on a A220 from A320Neo?

Me suscribí hace unas semanas, luego de ver que pusiste que la mayoría de los visitantes no estaban suscriptos, y porque me encantan tus videos. Ya que tuviste la posibilidad de viajar en el 220, qué pensás del ruido de la cabina? Es que no sé si engaña el audio de la cámara... o realmente es mega silencioso, al estilo del 350 o del 787. Contame tu experiencia en ese tema. Me sorprende mucho la configuración 2-3, que es la querida disposición de los añorados MD80. En Argentina, hasta hace no muchos años, Austral los usaba... y la gente se agolpaba en el perímetro de Aeroparque (AEP), nomás para sentir el tremendo rugido de los JT8. Al principio, creí que este modelo era una competencia directa de los E190, pero esos son 2-2. Qué pensás al respecto? Te mando un saludo desde Buenos Aires!!!

Un placer que encuentres los vídeos tan interesantes! :) Lo cierto es que la cifra sigue practicamente invariable... dependiendo de la semana, alrededor del 77-80% de la gente que ve los vídeos no se suscribe... no entiendo muy bien el porqué, sabiendo que es algo completamente gratis... El A220 es posiblemente el avión más silencioso del mercado hoy en día. Es de locos. Más sielncioso que el A350 o el B787. Sin duda. El A220 fue concebido como un jet regional... pero realmente acabará siendo un sustituto de los A318 y A319, incluso del A320 ,si llegasen a hacer una versión aún más larga... veremos... Saludos!

Realmente ese avión no tiene winglets. La posición en vuelo es con ellos extendidos. En tierra dobla las puntas de las alas para no tener problemas de espacio. Saludos
El A220 es el avión que elegiría para jugar si fuera un niño gigante. Por otro lado estaría bien (si quieres) hacer una valoración de la comida en los aviones. En la mayoría aparentan ser saludables (según su aspecto) pero no lo es. Los precios son desorbitados para la materia prima de la que se componen, aparte los costes de elaboración, preparación , envasado y distribución no son lo suficientemente altos como para cobrar 10€ por algo que me costaría comer ( dependería de mi apetito). No se a que controles de sanidad están sometidos, pero creo que esos estándares son mínimos, incompatibles con la nutrición saludable a la que están destinados y que está aceptado por la mayoría con esa frase que dice: la comida de los aviones es la que es; y lo aceptamos como un mal necesario, resignados a lo que hay. Un abrazo!!
Jajaja Me encantó la primera frase! :D Los precios de la comida a bordo son desorbitados (en su mayoría) porque requiere una logística enorme llevar esa comida a un avión, además del propio coste de llevar más peso en el avión. Los controles de calidad me constan que son muy exigentes, otra cosa es que la comida guste más o menos, pero los controles de calidad están por encima de muchos restaurantes de calle. ¿Crees que cualquier compañía se puede permitir una noticia diciendo que todo un avión se intoxico por su catering? Respecto a la calidad en sí de la comida, no a los controles de calidad, pues varía en función de lo que pida cda comñañía. Por ejempo, los desayunos que muestro de Austrian son mejores que lo que te sirven en un bar normal en el 80% de los casos. En el caso de Austrian, el desayuno se hace pocas horas antes del vuelo. La gente tiene una "tirria" especial a la comida de los aviones. Nunca la he tenido, excepto en algún caso en el que realmente no tenía buena pinta...

Lo que me da curiosidad es que vi que hay un avión llamado boeing 777X la verdad lovi y ese avion hace que los winglets se muevan increíble
Realmente ese avión no tiene winglets. La posición en vuelo es con ellos extendidos. En tierra dobla las puntas de las alas para no tener problemas de espacio.

El A220 es el avión que elegiría para jugar si fuera un niño gigante.
Por otro lado estaría bien (si quieres) hacer una valoración de la comida en los aviones. En la mayoría aparentan ser saludables (según su aspecto) pero no lo es. Los precios son desorbitados para la materia prima de la que se componen, aparte los costes de elaboración, preparación , envasado y distribución no son lo suficientemente altos como para cobrar 10€ por algo que me costaría comer ( dependería de mi apetito). No se a que controles de sanidad están sometidos, pero creo que esos estándares son mínimos, incompatibles con la nutrición saludable a la que están destinados y que está aceptado por la mayoría con esa frase que dice: la comida de los aviones es la que es; y lo aceptamos como un mal necesario, resignados a lo que hay.

Los precios de la comida a bordo son desorbitados (en su mayoría) porque requiere una logística enorme llevar esa comida a un avión, además del propio coste de llevar más peso en el avión.
Los controles de calidad me constan que son muy exigentes, otra cosa es que la comida guste más o menos, pero los controles de calidad están por encima de muchos restaurantes de calle. ¿Crees que cualquier compañía se puede permitir una noticia diciendo que todo un avión se intoxico por su catering?
Respecto a la calidad en sí de la comida, no a los controles de calidad, pues varía en función de lo que pida cda comñañía. Por ejempo, los desayunos que muestro de Austrian son mejores que lo que te sirven en un bar normal en el 80% de los casos. En el caso de Austrian, el desayuno se hace pocas horas antes del vuelo.
La gente tiene una "tirria" especial a la comida de los aviones. Nunca la he tenido, excepto en algún caso en el que realmente no tenía buena pinta...
