I just sold a 500 mile one , blue with white top mine was in temp control whole life , never had water on it my dad got 2 in 76, drove one and saved the other , when he passed 25 years ago he left it to me.. still had sticker in window , all the plastic inside . roof has never been down .. I searched for ever to figure out what it was worth , finally I just winged it put it for sale for 90 k and first person that looked bought it ... I gave the money to my grandson for collage .. he is 1 lol .. prolly need a mortgage for school by then :) ... My wife and I are ZL1 people in our mid 60's paid for our 2 boys collage in full , only grand child so decided to let my dad help his great grandson out :) :) :)
Delivery milage only. Only problem is that if you drive it, the value will plumet. I hope there are some collectors with plenty of storage space. and deep pockets.
I've heard the stories of crazy dealership mark ups on these because they were the last convertibles, 49 years later we see this incredible example. Always ready to see the next low mileage car from your inventory!
That's the problem with these mint low milage cars, the collectors are too scared to drive them, so then end up with flats on the tires and everything deteriates due to lack of use.
@Barbarapape Exactly. It should be kept with the tires off the ground and in a climate controlled garage. Imo better use it as a collector car in the summer, just enjoy it.
Little known detail is the red stripe radiator cap which this car has. They came from the factory that way and weren’t available as a replacement part. Typically you see the silver colored gm replacement cap. I have actually seen them on some higher mileage cars so they must be built well.
As good as you will find. I would finish the partly applied underseal to keep it this way Some of the tie bars and cross members are starting to rust left as they are and they will only get worse.
@@christianbugatticg You should know me by now Bill, the slightest imperfection and i can't wait for it to be corrected. The new owner of this one can make their own minds up.
Oh, okay. I have rarely seen any International Scouts driving around in years. Unique, absolutely. The Caddy is as well. Beautiful throughout, just as they were leaving dealership showrooms some time ago :)
I remember when Cadillac announced these as “the last convertible.” There was a guy in Houston who bought several of them and parked them outside The Conquistador condos. Not sure what happened to them.
Pull the motor / trans etc & replace all the seals, gaskets if you buy. These low mile old cars are notorious for leaking fluids if you plan on driving them regularly. How do they keep the fuel fresh with 26 miles over 49 years? Most classic car buyer's know this. Lovely car@!
@ Agreed Christian, best kept as a museum piece & / or in a climate controlled facility. I've had some extreme low mileage cars & when driven regularly they developed leaks after 6 months. Had to replace the seal's as they'd gone hard. I'm sure you'll pull top $ with this one, 👍. Love your vids & honesty in the presentation .
Correct. We just ran it through the shop and had every single fluid changed and flushed. Any service work that it needed after decades of sitting was done. Including a new fuel filter!
That is a very beautiful automobile only problem is it's front-wheel drive!!! It's like the song goes by Tom Petty gotta get rid of that front-wheel drive!!!🇺🇲🏁🏁🏁😎🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁
The matching wheel discs didn't come out until '77 on the new Biarritz model. The 1976 brochure shows a red convertible with white interior, just like this one, and black-painted wheel covers.
There were many stories back then of people buying up the "last convertible" and putting it away as an investment; so it's not too unlikely, especially since this was in the possession of the Cadillac dealer who first took delivery on it..
Believe what you want but don't question my integrity. I know the history from day ONE!! Maybe you should come inspect the car in person before you make reckless statements?? The car has LEGIT 26 miles on it.
Drive the crap out of it. You wanna keep it mint for someone else to get it? When you die, you can't bring it with you. Dummy dies, and never enjoyed it! Now that is really stupid.

I agree.
I've heard the stories of crazy dealership mark ups on these because they were the last convertibles, 49 years later we see this incredible example. Always ready to see the next low mileage car from your inventory!
Yeah that still happens today.
Drive it regularly. That's what it was made for and keep it in the condition it is.

It would be hard to resist.
Pretty true Barb.
Love it, dont drive it. Its only original once. This is so special.
I saw this in your place when you received it ! I have the same model and color combo but with 74,000 miles .
Can’t wait to follow this one !
Nice!
Bill. Just stunning. You cease to amaze with your finds. George in Pennsylvania.
Thank you!
I remember these. One of my neighbors around the corner had a baby blue one with white droptop and interior. I was 8 years old 🙌🏽💣💥🇺🇸😍
Ahhh the memories!
SWEET !!!
Thanks!
The only 70s Eld I would buy. If affordable. 😊
Thanks!
If I bought it I would drive the heck out of it !!
I get it!

Thanks! Well preserved
If it's driven any distance the engine will start to leak because all the seals will be hard and brittle.
Not so sure I agree with that. Here we are 50 years later and it is dry as a bone. And I do not think the new owner will likely drive it
Video the car on the ground and interior too, plz.
Watching from the Philippines. Great car ✓
Thank you and we appreciate it!!!
I would drive this car!!

I would drive it into a proper storage and show it off!
Nice!!
Wow, impressive! As is the yellow Bronco in the background.
That is a Scout plow truck. Pretty unique.

Butt Bill, Legendry Motorcars in Canada had an 12 mile 76 Eldo? Black on White leather!
Now??? How much??
The City of Gold.
Yes!

WOW!! Would love to see those cars!
You are correct 26 miles to a full tank of gas for the battle ship
Lol
The King of Unicorns!!
Well I appreciate that! I get so lucky sometimes!
Would have been nice to see the interior.
All you need to do is look on my TH-cam channel and you will see 5-6 more videos featured on this car.
Is it stuck up on the lift? 😊
Nooooo! lol
car was made to drive
Yes!
Why is this car not on your website?
I market them here on TH-cam and sell them on Bring a Trailer. My site is mostly for my late model cars that my brother handles. Thanks!
What's the point of owning a car if you are not going to drive it? No one lives forever, even museums will disappear.
Same as a piece of Art. But yes I would want to drive it

Thanks! Believe it or not there are ZERO leaks after 50 years. I don't think the next buyer will drive it.

Off kilter. I didn’t feel like I was sitting at 12 o’clock
On the lift you mean?? If so, yeah the lift is off a tick for some reason.
How hard is it to get the owners correct ?
How hard? You tell me when you are juggling 30 or so cars at a time?? Not sure why you'd even make a comment like that.
Man if I buy it. I'm driving that hog.😂😅😂😅
Haha, it would be hard to resist!
Nice! That plastic fuel filter is added aftermarket.
Correct. We just ran it through the shop and had every single fluid changed and flushed. Any service work that it needed after decades of sitting was done. Including a new fuel filter!
I would be terrified to own this car at this point. There will be large problems with it. Everything will eventually and quickly begin to leak.
Except I just fully serviced it and there is not a fluid leak anywhere. It is likely the next owner shows it and does not drive it.
That is a very beautiful automobile only problem is it's front-wheel drive!!! It's like the song goes by Tom Petty gotta get rid of that front-wheel drive!!!🇺🇲🏁🏁🏁😎🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁
I have an eldorado convertible with front-wheel drive have no problem with it at all
lol.
After 67 that is all you could get.
@@christianbugatticgI love the flat floor for stretching my legs out on long trips. I have a 1970 Eldorado and it is a pleasure to drive, fast too.
The Selling Dealer Probably Couldn't Wait to get Rid of it and make a Profit back in 76
I think Bill said the owner was the dealer until 2004.
He held it until it died in 2004. The family sold off his collection.
Shouldn't the original wheel covers match the color of the car???
The matching wheel discs didn't come out until '77 on the new Biarritz model. The 1976 brochure shows a red convertible with white interior, just like this one, and black-painted wheel covers.
No, not on a 76 Convertible
Correct! Thank you
@ thank you for correcting me! I always learn something new!!
26 miles , but maybe after the odometer had rolled 10 times since it is only 5 digits
Right, so maybe it is 1 MILLION and 26 miles. Jesus dude.......
