We ever gonna see a sajidsajidov snap down from an overhook used by sadualev and Gadisov over as well. Still not seen one westerner break it down

Love this video and would also like a video that goes more into detail on the Russian tie setup and different attacks from it

Oh shit I never thought anyone would ever find out about nedealco since he’s never medald at worlds he’s been a personal favorite since 2014 worlds he’s like a suuuper waterd down Saitiev sometimes I love that laid back everything from a tie long body shit

That's great. I watched every 74 kg match from 2019 Worlds and he hit that same 2-on-1 technique twice!

Great video! See a lot of aspects of BJJ involved here (if not subliminally), from Nedealco’s knee on the ground during the takedown, and how he aligns his body with respect to his opponent in order to gain better leverage.
Wrestling truly is stand up BJJ, as the great Firas Zahabi states. Keep up the great work DPS!

Bjj is just a subset of submission wrestling, so it's no wonder it overlaps with Freestyle. Both are just different styles of wrestling.

Sorry mate, but you're wrong. He didn't try a Whizzer-kick / Uchimata. He was going for a Merkle. That's how you set-up the subsequent Armdrag. This is a common sequence amongst Iranian and Russian wrestlers.
However, opponent avoided the Merkle by moving his leg back, and countered with a cross hand Single leg, which then Nedealco re-countered by transitioning to farside Lat-grip, securing the Back-take which he wanted to do to begin with (with the initial Armdrag). Then the only thing he needed to do is to Slide the Knee out of the opponent's "Step-in-the-hole", and secure the backtake points.

Very Saitiev-esque. Is a russian tie without two hands on, simply an off-set underhook?

Crazy The older I've gotten, the more I've gotten to love Russian ties and two-ones. When I was younger I used to hate those. Thought they were boring 😂😂

too bad in judo they banned the two on one grip (even if you get a sumi gaeshi grip you must immediately attack if not you'll get penalized). The two on one s my go to especially when sparring experienced wrestlers, not does it open a plethora of attack options, it also prevents the opponent from mounting an attack since he can only deploy one of his arms, resulting in a weaker and much easier to defend attack

    I'd have Merkel'd here: th-cam.com/video/4RfijSXgIXQ/w-d-xo.html
But I'm not sure how that would have played out internationally.

Was just thinking this seems like a good move to chain with a merkle finish.
