Personally, I think the best part of this is that the clip used for the "strings" actually sounds like LttP's string sample. Come to think of it... I've noticed that similarity in some of your other Jon versions of Zelda songs. Jon's voice sounds just like a LttP instrument lol

The tracks were extracted one by one from an SPC file, and then re-made with clips. The timing of the Vegas timescale has to be very accurate to the song's original tempo to get good results. Some sections can be copied and re-used as-is, or they can be re-pitched. The song is repeated twice here, with some notes in the fade-out area. The whole thing took about three hours of straight work.
Hal Coley When there is no possibility to extract the single tracks, it's made by memory and ear. I feel like MIDI-replacing is cheating in a way. Making YTPMVs is about the editing challenge itself.
Something makes me wish that there was a game console that had a sound chip which had purely Jon sound effects.
