Awesome vid guys. Newcastle certainly is a beautiful place. But after living and surfing here for the past 30 yrs, wave quality is generally poor for the most part. When it does turn it on you'll find the majority of Newy's population in the line up.
When l was 20 l had a choice between moving to Newcastle and Wollongong, l chose the latter and did not regret it, but New seems awesome too...the accent is different. And l guess it's about the same surf-wise.
@@frequentsightings Yeah, everything from Sandon pt, to Cowries, down to Aussie pipe wreck bay is basically woolongong surf, cause its all just a quick drive away.. Amazing surf. In every town on the coastline there is a sick reef break or beachie. I grew up in shellharbor and warilla. Best memories. Shallows, the Farm. Mystics, Windang island, redsands. Kiama. I miss it so much.

What i got from this vid: everywhere gets crowded when it's good, and most of the waves are for experienced surfers haha. What's it like north or south of newcastle? eg dudley, redhead, blacksmiths etc.
