    In the factory house, how are electrical, ducting, and plumbing later run in already insulated and sealed walls?

    My sawhorses are made out of 2x4 with one on top to make a flat surface on top, and instead of Paracord I use chain, same basic idea though.

    I'm surprised that they don't also print a QR code on each part. Then you can just scan it at the job site or in the fab to learn where it goes.

    • @Th3Su8
      @Th3Su8 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree with with you on this. Where I live they are required to be there by state laws and if a contractor builds something like this they install the anchors.

    How do they do the electrical and pluming with those prefabbed walls? If they're already full of insulation.

    • @Greg8872
      @Greg8872 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Per their website, prefabbed walls (which are min 9-1/16" thick) have at least a 2-1/2" space for running that (see tektoniks.com/building-systems-components/)

    • @Marcel_Germann
      @Marcel_Germann 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      In most cases you plan your house where everything needs to go, bathroom, sinks, toilets, showers, bath tubs for the plumbing and the places for the outlets. They put the electrical and plumbing in when they produce it in the factory. Everything is connected inside of the wall, so they only need to make the connections coming out of the wall, and that's happening on the construction site when they assemble the parts to get the whole house. They also got some standards, and as everywhere, the more you deviate from the standard by ordering special requests, the more expensive the house will become.

    • @SwiftHelix
      @SwiftHelix 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Marcel_Germann yeah but minimum you'd put an outlet on every wall and the example there wasn't any

    • @SwiftHelix
      @SwiftHelix 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Greg8872 but it's full of loose insulation, maybe the inside walls wouldn't but still

    • @Greg8872
      @Greg8872 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@SwiftHelix Its not FULL of insulation, there is at least a 2-1/2" section that is without it between the 7/16" OSB and the 5/8" interior finish.

      Mike B it was a poor answer, he could have said “No way we are employing x number of people with full benefits and better working conditions!”
      But it’s also a dumb question. No one asked Xerox if they were putting secretaries out of business even though they definitely where.
