I feel it's good for beginners but shouldn't be the only one people should take. IBM has a data warehouse certificate too. Taking certificates are good for getting educated in a topic but I think after taking one or both the IBM Certificates, students should look into getting either the Azure Data Engineer Associate or the Google Data Engineer Professional certifications or even a Databricks Data Engineer certification...all of which hold more weight...plus it gives students a broad view of how different platforms do data engineering
1. The video shouldn't be this long 2. You should have added time stamps so I can skip to what's important These are my reasons for disliking the video
Imagine you have to read one book per day for 12 hours and then you have to do 2 basic exercises per day after you read the book. That's how courses in coursera work, so much theory with a few hands on exercises. Last time i try to learn GCP in coursera and i feel like my brain will explode, too much words and too much theory that i even dont know what the hell are that
The harvaredx courses I have taken have been super hands on and I have heard udacity is also. I hoping that andrew ng deep learning and machine learning have enough hands on projects
I would like to know if programming knowledge is necessary to be a DevOps, and if only with the IBM Introduction to DevOps certificate can I get my first job without previous IT experience and without IT training? And without programming knowledge? Thank you
Right, this is a great question as I am 70% complete.😂 but to be honest, I think having a portfolio of projects outside of any courses are what would essentially make one an official data engineer. Showing what you learned and your understanding of the course materials holds more weight than the actual certification.
@@MsFiness85 I wanna ask, did you pay for all 5 months on Coursera at once? If the amount is deducted on a monthly basis, can I finish the course quicker than that, and as a result pay less?
@@adriboy01 I paid monthly and yep you can zoom through as fast as you want. Just be sure to do other things to strengthen your skills in addition to Coursera
Hello @@MsFiness85 , I just have one-two question. does this course have good content to be data engineer and and much you will rate this course on scale of 10? can you please tell. I am thinking about enrolling for this course and your input may help me.
@@rushi0321 I would say it does have good content from a beginners standpoint, which I am and for that I would rate it a solid 10 based on the easy to understand format regarding the course materials and the fact that its self paced.
Very insightful video by you.. I wanted a second opinion on this course and by watching this video I have made my decision to take this course . Thank You @DecisionForest

Happy I could help 🙏
Is it possible to become a Data Warehouse Engineer? I'm just avoiding having to learn python
Python is easier to learn than some other languages such as C#.
You won't regret learning Python
