That was phenomenal! I've never heard any Austin sound so good! I really appreciated the little blip of the human side of being an organist in the end 😉
Very nice!!!. I loved listening to you perform. I live in Connecticut and ran into a woman at a vegetable stand with the last name of Austin. Turns out her husband/family owned Austin Organ in Hartford. He died some years ago. It was a pretty cool accidental meet up since my wife and I had just been talking about Cathedral organs in the car just before we had stopped in. 1 in a million I guess.
My word. Did anyone else catch when the place shook at 0:40? What an incredible instrument, played by an incredible organist! That console is probably one of the most beautiful I’ve seen. Awesome awesome upload, Patrick.
Glad you enjoyed it, James! It's a lovely instrument in a fantastic Cathedral. And it's just a block up the street from the parish where I work, so Evan and I collaborate regularly. You'll see more like this in the future!
I think his feet and hands hit the console at the same time and since the camera is on the console, it shuddered. The registration was probably not a factor in this blip.
Evan, that arrangement made the hair stand up on my arms, absolutely magnificent, Richard
LOVE YOUR CHANGING UP REGISTRY!
FABULOUS!!¡
Nice rendition. Certainly gave me idea's on how to play this hymn
Evan, I'm organist at another church but often attend Mass at St.John the Baptist in New Freedom with my mother and I miss hearing you there!
Beautiful arrangement and performance. Wonderful use of registrations and crescendo towards the end. Awesome acoustics. Bravo !!
Beautiful. Thanks for sharing this video.
I cannot stop watching this video. Oh, to be there in person and hear (and feel) this played in person.
Awesome. Great that youth you bring
Wow!
Evan, you really need to come to Colorado and visit us!!!
