This game is not the worst game to release this year lmfao. It’s fun, it’s cheap as hell, it’s just a good little bit of rogue lite gameplay. This game does NOT deserve a 3, especially if IGN gave Suicide Squad a fucking 5 💀
This game is clearly meant to be short and experimental, so I'm not at all displeased with how it turned out. I think the reason people are so upset at this game is because they think it means it will be much longer before we get a turn-based RPG game, or that this game will somehow harm the potential of South Park games going forward, which I doubt. Anyways, good video.

(Played with a friend, i think that made some of the trophies much easier) Still like Stick of Truth and Butwhole more though. -Btw the Van Helsing Trophy you can get pretty easily in the free DLC, map "Twofold" wave 4 (credit goes to trueachievement comment section)
A 3d south park game with the same game style as the other 2 would be so cool. The thing that really hooked me on TSOT was the exploration and how filled the town was with references and side quests. The combat in this game is fine but I'm missing out on the character building and replayabilty.
Unironically the IGN preview with Matt Stone is what sold me on this game, I’ll wait for the inevitable sale. Somewhere I read that they’re contractually obligated to make 3 games, so who knows, maybe the next 2 will be those deep experiences everyone is hoping for
The final boss is the great mighty poo?!? Hope it included a musical number! Jokes aside even as an enjoyer of both roguelikes and hack-and-slash games, I think this will be one I wait for a sale for. Hope to get around to Stick of Truth sometime this year, as I did enjoy that back in the day. This seemed like an ok journey, but one that includes a bit too much rng for my liking tbh. Anyways awesome video as always, and keep up the great work Princess Kenny
Congrats on getting the platinum. I haven't even played Stick of Truth yet, let alone anything after that, but hearing that Snow Day isn't so bad means I'll keep an eye out for a good sale instead of avoiding it entirely.
An easier method for the middle management trophy is a glitch where if you cheese a necromancer as it’s reviving an enemy that counts it also counts if a cheesed necro revives a cheesed enemy
I think the rating for single player match the ratings given but playing with friends the rating should be 7 or 8 on a scale of 1 to 10 and a 3.5 or 4 on a scale of 1 to 5.
Thanks for showing justice to the South Park IP. Can't wait to pick this up eventually since my favorite has been Stick of Truth so far. I do it all for Princess Kenny.
Just to say I read that Matt and Trey plan to add more content to this game in line with the new episodes that come out so I don’t think this game is dead just yet
The ign review of the game seemed far fetched but it looks like the game seems enjoyable enough especially since it’s only like 30 bucks. Though rng isn’t great, having 3000 hours in Destiny I feel that 😅
Still better than that n64 game. I remember renting that with my best friend for the weekend. Wow. That sound of 1,000 turkeys will be burned into my brain for the rest of my life.
NOTE: It's much easier on Normal if you're playing with human players. What you can do is "Host" a game, start playing, and during your mission new random players will join. By the time of any level's boss fight I always had human teammates. (I agree though that Kyle is the hardest boss, though that was before I realized I could Host a game and have randos join throughout, so who knows.)
My boggest gripe with games like these is that they're better with friends, which is cool and all, but as someone who is pretty antisocial and has no friends, it makes me feel like i just get shafted and the experience isn't fun.
i think the reason why people are saying its not like stick of truth or fractured but whole, isnt because of the graphics of it, but the lack of storyline. Fractured but whole was mocking the whole MCU universe going on at the current time, Each character had a unique look to them. Snow day re-uses stick of truth costumes and cuts any storyline mocking current media. This is what makes southpark southpark, its ability to take jabs at current media. That is completely gone here. Another reason why stick of truth was amazing for players, was the environment it had you playing in, it actually felt like you were exploring south park. In snow day, it felt like you saw more of south park in the background, than actually being able to interact with. When it comes to the play style / combat , there is not too much skill required, beating it on hard the first playthrough with some downs, and a single wipe needing a restart of the level, but other than that, there wasnt too much challenge beside the 100% accurate archers. The choice of weapons was too small. 3 melle and 3 ranged weapons. Comparing that to stick of truths whole weapon system that had you find new weapons when you leveld up made it seem like nothing was really added compared to previous titles, only taken from. Overall game could have been a lot better, could have been a lot worse. the bigger question you should be asking yourself, is would you have playd this if it wasnt southpark themed? probably not.
You end it off with a rhetorical question but I answered that in the beginning. As someone who loves roguelites and hack and slash games I think I'm definitely someone who's trying this game South Park or not. In fact, this not being a South Park game might've garnered it more fans 😂
So, after playing this game myself. There's a few clear issues. 1. It's too expensive for how short it is, and not fun enough to replay. 2. It needs 1 friend or more to be fun to play. 3. It's definitely made to get more paid epansions. 4. Gameplay loop is simplistic. 5. The story is mild at best, and boring at worst. If you have some money and time to waste, its a fun little experience for 1-3 days with a friend or more though.
To be honest my only complaint was that the main campaign felt too short I played with my friend and we had plenty of fun (bar dying when the last boss was one literally one health) But we both agreed a little bit more playtime could have benefitted it
It's a pretty fun game, although it feels unfinished, the weapons, armor and power ups are under utilized, and everywhere I look, I see alot of missed opportunities. My hope is this is just a trial run and they'll expand this style of game play and merge it with the stick of truth and fractured but whole.
The only actual problem is the roguelite elements not being strong enough to replay the levels. But it’s $30 and you can play with friends so who cares if you only play once.
Honestly, I was hoping for an RPG with the anime ninjas theme. They could have made a commentary on how niche things becoming more mainstream can result in people trying to change it for the worst. Some great anime and manga series are overshadowed by the "popular" stuff. Also, the "popular" stuff can feel kinda samey after awhile.
What’s awesome about xbox, is to 100% the game you need the viral achievement, which currently isn’t on console, so every xbox player and most PlayStation players still have this 1 achievement stuck at impossible
The second I saw that this was going to be in a 3D, live-action environment, I could tell that they had removed a large enough chunk of what I loved so much about SoT and FbW that it wasn't going to be for me. That's okay. Not everything is going to be for everyone. Cut my losses, move on. What I didn't expect, however, was for it to lose all semblance of its identity as a series. I never even planned to play it and still ended up disappointed. Here's hoping that they go back to the basics of they plan to make more moving forward.
5 levels long, repetitive and annoying enemies, bad ai, and a massive lack of weapons. Just really shot my hopes down like a cannon. I mean what's the point of online? "Hey man! Wanna complete my whole 5 levels of story mode, and then we'll play your story mode!"
I like hack n slashers, I like roguelikes, I like testing my mettle with difficult games, and I like South Park. I fairly enjoyed what I saw and will probably like this game. I do hope for the fourth game they go for a different genre again, maybe a metroidvania, since they didn’t want to go for a big RPG again to avoid stagnation, but also return to the 2D artstyle.
It's a shame that they made this as a quick cash grab instead of a real game, the bad AI and random things were an obvious way to artificially make the game longer
I actually enjoyed it. It wasn’t as good as the other two but for $30 I enjoyed it and so did my family. We played together and had fun. And that final boss was a hilarious reminder of Conker. The great mighty poo 💩
When I saw the review I was disappointed that I preordered it. But then I played it on release for a half hour and enjoyed the absolute hell out of it. I haven't played it since because I want to wait to play with a group I play with. I'm so excited to play through this game.
This game looked like an early hack n' slash game from the 90s/early 2000s so I knew it wasn't going to be good from the start and avoided it completely.
I agree, this game is not a 3/10. I enjoyed it for what it is with my friends and had a good time. Am I going to play it solo for hours? No. Is it the same as the last two games? No. Is it still fun and a good foundation to build upon with the future content planned? Yes.

just platinum it this morning, wasn't bad was something i got to mindlessly play. now it just sucks that the STD unlockable isnt spreading right now on ps5.
South Park is usually on top of current events with their humour, so the fact that they made the Covid era toilet paper joke so prevalent was a huge red flag immediately. That joke stopped being funny after the first week of Covid 4 years ago. It just felt like Matt and Trey were way less involved in the development of this game.
My unpopular opinion is that while it's still solid, fractured but whole isn't nearly as fun as stick of truth. I'll admit I caved and paid the $30 for this one hoping to like it more than FBW and wow yeah, it's bad. The first mission is all I had in me. Needs enemy lock on, the shooting/aiming controls being bound to one trigger is completely foreign, and navigating away from an open world south park just doesn't feel like home anymore. Stick of Truth still goated.
I will admit I have a strong bias against playing this if only because of the change in art style to 3d. One of the best things about SP is the iconic cut paper aesthetic and how it's used to build the animations. It's actually pretty impressive even with computers easing the process Ironically making it 3d completely flattens it out
I wasn't able to finish stick of truth because of the Randy hospital part of the game, I love playing fractured but whole and it's DLCs, and I thought whatever game they had after that one would be like those two games and maybe be about their Ninja personas. Snow day is not a bad-looking game and the story is okay, but I just don't care for the gameplay it's not for me.
The moment I seen the trailer, it removed any chance I would ever buy this game. I'm not going to act like Stick of Truth and Fractured But Whole were any masterpiece, but they were still good. And it did the fun turnbased combat which I think more games need, where you can press buttons after attacks instead of just pressing a button and waiting 5 seconds for the animation to end
I don’t necessarily think a 3rd person South Park game is a bad idea but it needs a lot more than this. I don’t think it quite deserves a 3 if suicide squad gets a 5 lol. But the other 2 games are definitely still very superior
I think the game is ok myself too, not perfect but its a fun quick play to kill some time. For some reason I've been interesting in seeing a game based on pirates lol

Best line in the game is Jimmy's. Why did the illiterate wizard lose the battle. He couldn't spell.
For 30$ this seems kinda fun. Might pick it up.
I think it's worth a shot for the price mate honestly!
I don't mind the game at all actually... I'm just, not great at it. Chapter 3's truck chase. That is all.
That truck chase is a tricky one, especially when your buddies go down at the end and you need to turn on all the gens!
Here's hoping that they go back to the basics of they plan to make more moving forward.
i had no idea this game even existed
Might’ve lost the battle (losing against Essendon) but you won the war (platinuming this game)
Such a heartbreaker but thank you 😂
@@MayorHairBear yeah man, I’m a Swannies fan in South Melbs so losing to Richmond was a rough one this week too. Fingers crossed next week.
People are already bored with it; matchmaking often shows "no matches to join". And that's when you set it to "any type" and "any difficulty".
I wanted local co-op, too bad
Yeah no splitscreen is a let down
5 levels long, repetitive and annoying enemies, bad ai, and a massive lack of weapons. Just really shot my hopes down like a cannon. I mean what's the point of online? "Hey man! Wanna complete my whole 5 levels of story mode, and then we'll play your story mode!"
This game actually looks a lot better than i feared it would be. Definitely gonna grab it if i can find it for like $20.
Oh and Princess Kenny 😅
Due to how poorly this games getting reviewed it will be on sale soon lol. I still bought full price, I ain't mad at it tbh
I thought the game was pretty cool but I loved the princess Kenny fight
Thank you for watching it through mate and totally if you can get it for a price you want go for it!
It’s 30 dollars bum
Another great video Mayor! Video is going crazy 💪
Ay appreciate it mate! It's nutty, wish I knew what I did so I could do it again 😂
Oh thank goodness someone else knows Conker, I swear that reference is going over too many people's head! Yeah I think for $30 this is good fun
When I saw the review I was disappointed that I preordered it. But then I played it on release for a half hour and enjoyed the absolute hell out of it. I haven't played it since because I want to wait to play with a group I play with. I'm so excited to play through this game.
Thankyou for the wonderful video. Princess kenny returns would be funny story wise if added later.
Yes.
The lord has blessed us with a video this fine Easter 🎉 princess Kenny
Steelvanguard: mentions tutorial grind for vamp kids
Bear: nah mate won’t need it
Papi: mentions tutorial for vamp kids grind
Bear: your my hero
Steel: *shocked pikachu face*
Chocolate for the kids, new video for the adults! Also, I actually said it wouldn't work to Papi he just mentioned it when I had nothing left to do. Right place and time!
@steelvanguard1996, Bear obviously has mod bias, you should put in a formal complaint 😂
just platinum it this morning, wasn't bad was something i got to mindlessly play. now it just sucks that the STD unlockable isnt spreading right now on ps5.
Princess Kenny! First video of yours I’ve seen, gave the sub as well! Thanks for the positive review that convinced me to pick this up tonight
It must have sucked because I played the other 2 South Park game and didn't even know this one released
i honestly think my only complaint is the length of the game. I wish it was in the same style as the other games, but the 3D was a nice change tho
Always uploading when i can't find anything good to watch, god send 🙏
Happy to help mate!
Yes still want to play this despite the trophy reservations I might have 😂
It's a short platinum at least if the trophies aren't to your liking 😂
South Park is usually on top of current events with their humour, so the fact that they made the Covid era toilet paper joke so prevalent was a huge red flag immediately. That joke stopped being funny after the first week of Covid 4 years ago. It just felt like Matt and Trey were way less involved in the development of this game.
I don’t understand the hate, the gameplay looks fun and I’ve heard that it’s really enjoyable from friends
I had a good time with the game, I don't get the hate either mate
3/10 is right on the money. South Park as an IP should be expected to put out quality products, after all it's a "billion dollar IP."
Rogue like. Where if you die you lose eveything, hard difficult, long, and a waste of time. This is literaly torghest from wow
princess kenny is a legend
You're a legend for watching till the end mate, appreciate you!
For The price of The game. It was okay. Not bad and not good. IGN did a shit take on this game and rise of The Ronin.
Ubisoft made the division south park
Don't know if PS3 games count but I'd love to see Toy Story 3 be platinumed. It was such a good movie tie in game
If it has a platinum it counts and I remember loving Toy Story 3 back at release!
@@MayorHairBear Awesome! I will be very curious how you decide to do it because of how it's split into 2 parts, the main story and the toybox.
I love this game. It's like happy wars and rougelite. I think with expansions it's going to surpass your first thought.
Isn’t it $40? Most games are $60 still. Same price as Elden ring dlc and we all know how amazing that will be.
I will admit I have a strong bias against playing this if only because of the change in art style to 3d. One of the best things about SP is the iconic cut paper aesthetic and how it's used to build the animations. It's actually pretty impressive even with computers easing the process
Ironically making it 3d completely flattens it out
Sucks to feel like south park is just being punished for their first 2 games being so good. Having said that, I adored the first 2.
The first 2 games are amazing, I think it's just a change people don't want to see as they think it means no more RPG style games!
Honestly I feel like the reviews said “too hard”
Wouldn't be the first time 😂
looks like a fun budget game, Seems good tbh
I got the cheesed necro revival by using the wand card that lit me on fire. I cheesed the entire horde and killed myself. Took 30 seconds
I really love ur content, I can just sit back and relax and enjoy, good work!!❤
Ay thank you so much mate and thank you for becoming a member, I really appreciate it!
It seems super short and most streamers crap it out in 2-3 hours
I don’t necessarily think a 3rd person South Park game is a bad idea but it needs a lot more than this. I don’t think it quite deserves a 3 if suicide squad gets a 5 lol. But the other 2 games are definitely still very superior
You know it's bad if ign gives you 3.
I think the game is ok myself too, not perfect but its a fun quick play to kill some time.
For some reason I've been interesting in seeing a game based on pirates lol
how do you get the STD achievement? no one on xbox has it yet
Now that is the question we all be asking over on xbox 😂
