I was fortunate enough to grow up in a family of duck hunters. My family and I have taken a few people under our wing and showed them the ropes. For the most part it has made our family bigger and some of the people paid attention and others didn't.

Thank you for sharing your knowledge on finding ducks. My wife and I are really green at this. Not everybody would share the information you have thinking you may be the competition they have to buck. What a great sport thanks for your input.

Just had this exact thing happen to me, this is my 3rd year duck hunting. Being a deer hunter for 20 years made me understand scouting pays off. I posted my opening morning hunt on my channel had to move down the line. You have to be 200 yards from a building in my state I use the same premise for other hunting groups not sure if that’s far enough.

      That’s fine.
Often you can bounce the ducks to each other. Keeps them from landing just out of reach from you.

Last year was my first opening day and my friends and I showed up 2 hours before sign in on public so we were like 5-6th there and while waiting for sign ins to open some dude just rolled up and skipped everyone just to sign in 1 hour early and took our blind spot we wanted

Omg I was looking for a comment like this, I like the long beard guy but the other dude is just an idiot, talks like he’s got a dick in his mouth and you can tell he’s got about 3 brain cells working at full power

THERE SHOULD BE A LAW THAT REQUIRES NEIGHBORING HUNTER ON PUBLIC LAND SHOULD BE MINIMUM DISTANCE TO BE 1000 YARDS. FIRST COME FIRST TO BE RESPECTED BUT GOVT INVOLVEMENT CAUSE MUCH TOO MUCH TROUBLE.

A 1000 yards!? You’re crazy. I’m not saying they need to setup right up on ya, it’s happened a ton to me, but a 1000yards is not possible.

200 yards is acceptable to me. As long as you’re respectful. Duck hunting needs to stop being so competitive out in the field
