I am a Democrat, but it did not stop me from sitting down & listen to Liz Cheney’s speech. Her grace, knowledge & what her message to all citizens of the USA was amazing. The last four plus year has been a roller coaster for us & she has given us hope. Thank you Liz for a speech that needed to be heard by many.

I am a Democrat very grateful to Liz Cheney. Every day I see her speak, the respect grows and I thank her for standing up for truth. She is a class act. Thank you, Liz Cheney! Your a hero to me.
I’m 75 years old and served my country during the Vietnam war. I’ve been a stanch Republican all my life because I believe in smaller government, low taxes and a strong National defense. We’ve been through some difficult times over my lifetime but nothing like I’m seeing now. When Liz Cheney is vilified for standing up against lies and an assault on the Capitol and Constitution, we have reached a point that I’m not sure we’ll ever recover from as a country. I voted for Donald Trump twice and I’m ashamed I voted for him the second time. Now my party has lost it’s way totally and Republican voters are willing to accept a leader I’d never want in my foxhole during the heat of battle. I’ll never vote Republican again and I’ll do all I can to defeat the election deniers and those who incite violence against our government and law enforcement. Liz I hope you find a path to help save our country and I’ll be there to support you. When a personality cult becomes more powerful than democracy, we’ve got a really big problem. When greed and a lust for power become more important than honor, ethics and character, we’ve got situation so dangerous it could mean the end of America as we know it. Wyoming voting for the other person shouldn't be a surprise , it's wyoming and who goes against trump doesn't survive in heavy red places. Wyoming, Utah, South Dakota, Oklahoma, Iowa, and alabama are the deepest red States who still believe the election is stolen that I know of there could be other states but here's the thing there's a difference between hardcore Trump fans and conservatives who want a difference. I think Texas is completely different then Wyoming 2022 is not a given for the red States. I think it's a toss-up for Texas, cheney could have won in another state.

I've watched my family abandon the truth and facts because it's more important for them to feel like members in good standing of the current Republican party. It's more important to them to support the concept of "the enemy of my enemy, is my friend. They revere Donald Trump merely because they see him as the powerful bully who can hurt the people that they hate, namely anyone left of center. I disagree with her on 95 out of 100 things, but that leaves five crucial things: belief in American Democracy, the rule of law, the integrity of elections, honesty, and courage in the face of withering criticism. Who is the last politician who sacrificed their position in order to defend the truth? In my mind, this puts her in a class by herself as the emerging leader of the New Republican Party.

I listened to her speech with great respect. I am a former republican and have been a democrat since Bush 1. I support Liz and the simple fact that she is sincere and puts the country first. I’m 75 years old and served my country during the Vietnam war. I’ve been a stanch Republican all my life because I believe in smaller government, low taxes and a strong National defense. We’ve been through some difficult times over my lifetime but nothing like I’m seeing now. When Liz Cheney is vilified for standing up against lies and an assault on the Capitol and Constitution, we have reached a point that I’m not sure we’ll ever recover from as a country. I think Texas is completely different then Wyoming 2022 is not a given for the red States. I think it's a toss-up for Texas, cheney could have won in another state.

I have such tremendous respect for Liz Cheney. I am a lifelong democrat and find myself cheering for her success. I'm so saddened by her loss because she is a great one. Where are the other republicans with spines? Who else will stand up for what is right in this country? Liz is probably the only politician I'd like to sit down with at this point in my life, to encourage her to keep up the fight, and thank her for her service to our nation.
