That's not true. When you are in cse, all your batchmates are in cse too and you will be competing with them for those hogh paying jobs. Thus, the level of competition is much higher for jobs

CSE branch is booming ? It's called overhyped. No branch has less weight. It depends completely upon the students what they wanna do in life. I am pursuing BTech in ECM currently in 2nd year and we have core subjects of cse as well as ece so there is no comparison or superiority. Even a mechanical/civil guy can land up as an SDE in top notch firms it's all about the individual development, according to my experience till date. And Naren bhai , you are doing a stupendous job giving us insights of how things revolve around IITg...God Bless you❤️
