  • Just some bulk footage I’ve gathered up from this month of the 520s doing bulk in the area. I’m glad that the city is finally deciding to phase out front loader bulk pickups, and switching to rear loaders. I’m hoping they can get some more of these trucks for residential as well.

Man, the things our sanitation workers have to touch...they’re underpaid and under appreciated. Much respect

No they aren't. They make very good money. The ones in my area make about $45/hr

@@mikel9567 you sound stupid replying to someone no they aren’t when you have no idea where I live. Where I’m from, they make about $10 per hour on average.

I've never seen anything like this in the UK. Our councils send 3 guys out in a medium sized van with a cage on the back to collect big stuff,or removing a fly tipped pile.

My local council ( St.helens, Merseyside ) uses a open back dustcart to collect bulk ,sofas , beds etc . Driver and mate . It was free now they charge per item .

Where I live the guys normally use the flat bed truck with a lift gate for fridges. No idea if they collect the gas first, which is why that guy doesn't want to crush it.

What do the workers think of you filming them? I enjoy the footage, but it has to be kind of odd getting it.

What happened to recycling? Its a shame citys dont install recycle lines to separate this junk. In the future they will have to mine landfills to recover resources lost in our trash

    • @dennisphoenix1

I have been saying this for years , when the oil runs out we will be unearthing all the plastics and recycling them , they will still be there , everything else will have rotted away
