    Most people don’t live in flats in the UK. The vast majority of people in the UK live in houses.

    • @JamesSmith-ui2hv
      @JamesSmith-ui2hv 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      And for Americans housing standards , the houses in England are the size of a FLAT , is it more clear for you now?

    • @philsmith7343
      @philsmith7343 3 ปีที่แล้ว +36

      Thanks for your reply James, but it’s not a case of ‘Size’ or ‘being more clear’. Houses tend to have 2 or more floor to them and flats are usually exactly that, ‘Flat’. So, all the living space is on one level. And as I’ve been a UK resident for the past 40 years, I was simply pointing out that the majority of people in the UK live in dwellings with 2 or more floors, i.e. houses, not flats.
      Many thanks.

    Most people in England own cars, many families two or even three . That is the reason there is so much congestion. There is barely such a thing as a quiet road anywhere in southern England. London is virtually gridlocked and residents have to pay a congestion charge to drive through it.

You say you are a Christian and you carry a knife . I sorry but you don't know anything about the uk , london is different than most parts of the uk . I live a town and only 5 % live in flats and 80 % of adults drive. Please get fact write before making TH-cam videos

    Glad she had a positive experience here. Some of what was said (e.g. most people here don't have cars) is very much big city only and having been to the USA many times I would not say our food is less tasty - maybe less salty but other things like the difference in sense of humour and the British being less outgoing and reserved polite is spot on.

    A pocket knife with a folding blade no more than 3 inches (75mm) long can be sold legally to an under 18-year-old and can be carried in public--they are not intended to be carried as weapons. Folding lock knives are not legal

    Here's a bit of sonnet 34:

    And make me travel forth without my cloak,
    To let base clouds o'ertake me in my way...."
    And lots of of LOVE American humour!
