    Holding down pass when you're doing stuff does work but I mean what do you do when you let go of the pass button ....he ends up passing the puck even if you don't want to pass it as soon as you let go it's going to go...is there any way to cancel out the pass after you let go of the pass button?

    You can also cancel a player switch the same way you cancel a pass. If you hold R2/RT to manually switch player but then change your mind, you can press L1/LB and it will cancel🙂

    Can i ask what would be the best way to punish guys that are always going for hits in the ozone? When i'm cycling or skating around the zone using LT+A, i'll get knocked off almost all the time even with unstoppable force. Like how to make them miss? I feel like when im watching pros play, no one barely goes for hits and it makes LTing easier it seems like. But in div 4 and 3 guys are always looking to knock off the puck and hit. Any tips?

    • @thenickfoxx
      @thenickfoxx ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@robertodistasio1688 The best advice I got is to punish them by cycling the puck (whilst in the ozone), because most decent players will start to realize they'll be leaving openings for easy goals if they keep aggro'ing on you. As for rushing through the neutral zone and zone entries, one touch dekes and rimming it around the boards for your team mate on the other side has worked wonders for me. Just need to practice the timing and situational awarenes.

I haven’t had a chance to put that tip into action yet but I’m gonna give it a try. I’m desperately trying to go from div 3 to div 2. If these tips help to get me there, I’ll be back to let you know.

  • @obi-wankenobi8413

    I could be mistaken but your player switch should switch to player closest to the puck. That’s how mine works, I think it’s a setting. Not that u always want the player closest to puck but 95% of the time that’s who u want to switch to. I don’t have to randomly spam player switch it just switches to the one closest to the puck which is pretty much always who I need.

    What controls are players spamming on defense that makes my controller vibrate and they essentially render my stick useless? They almost always end up with the puck. It’s not just holding A on Xbox because mine doesn’t do anything unless I’m up against the boards. There are times where they’ll spam those buttons with no one in the area and my guy won’t even be able to grab the puck in open space. It’s definitely a glitch. Thanks for the help.

    Hey man! Total game changer for the right stick click poke... But I'm having a hard time understanding what the order is... I don't actually poke unless I press the R1 then super quickly pull my right stick out and click at the same time... I cannot do any poking animation by just pulling the right stick out and pressing the right stick button in..m help on this would be truly appreciated

    • @uninsta1l
      @uninsta1l  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah so the right stick poke is used only when you are holding down your RB/R1. once u get comfortable with the timing of pressing the R1 down then pushing in on the right stick. You should be able to evolve to doing it all in one motion so you get the longest poke possible

    • @derekthibeault3457
      @derekthibeault3457 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ohh okay, got it. Thanks for the quick reply man!
      So technically
      Hold R1
      Pull direction of right stick towards puck carrier and click in the right stick at the same time....
      Or R1, click, and then pull the right stick out?
      Just want to make sure I have the motion down. I am seeing a difference

    • @martincote777
      @martincote777 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      so i tested this poke + clic and aim RStick offline and it doesn't give me more reach versus just a just R1/RB, but holding R1 and clicking the right stick in succession make poking in repetition quicker than just hitting R1 as fast as i can. Also R1 poke are auto aim to the puck, as is the Rstick clic, so you dont need to aim with the RStick.

  • @collynbertin3260
    @collynbertin3260 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    The reason clicking in the right stick works is because it's the hit puck along boards, and it's a different animation than the poke check. I use that move when my defender is racing back for dump in and there's a forward on me, the player will whack the puck in whatever direction you click in.
    If I'm Rd and my Ld is skating back aswell ill click in the right stick to the left and instead of going to pick up the puck it chops it along the boards and you have extra time with the ld to make a play. EA didn't nerf the puck chop they only nerfed the poke check... and BTW hand eye is the good stat to lookout for when doing the chop puck, ir when your holding rb and then poke. Your hand eye determines how likely you are to hit it, whereas Def awareness and stick checking are the stats to look out for when doing rb poke checks.

    • @brandonlee665

They know about poke check and triangle or equivalent triangle on Xbox but not this one. Thanks for sharing, but you know, take it down. Lol. Joke, it’s kind of crappy that all this time I thought players were just better than me, when I’m reality some of those players just knew things I didn’t. I played for years without knowing that I could turn off auto back skate, so,so many goals that could have been prevented.😢😢😢
